So why was Austin scoring for fun until he got injured?
If he was playing and still fit, I have no doubt we'd have won or drawn some of the games in which we dropped points.
That's why I blame the board for not signing another striker in the summer, and why we should be pushing urgently to bring one in.
I agree with that. The West Brom really was a poor one. I can understand losing to Spurs and Everton.
If we lose in the same manner to some of our next opponents then I will be concerned for sure.
The referee for this one is Chris Kavanagh
Mainly a Football League ref but was in charge when we beat Sunderland in the EFL Cup
He'll probably be promoted to the Select Group next season
Jenkinson, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Xhaka, Elneny, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Iwobi and Pérez all played in that game.
Granted, Ozil Sanchez and Giroud didn't play but that team we beat was not a poor side at all.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently beating Arsenal 2-0...
Just shows what a great result we got down there and the job Puel did who tactically outsmarted them.
IF for whatever reason we decide to get rid of Puel, and we need a bit of time to get the right appointment, then Nigel Adkins as caretaker manager until the end of the season would be good. It would lift the fans, undoubtedly.
HOWEVER I do not believe that a) we will sack Puel and b) we will need to. I think it will come good, we just need patience and the club to back him in the transfer window.
Not being a bedwetter = happy clapper
I'm not a happy clapper, I'm not happy with the board for failed transfer activity. I am not blaming the manager for something that wasn't his fault.
Here's the article where that comes from. I posted a translation in the other thread but I'll post it here too.

That's not what he said at all. He said that it was a challenge for his wife because she doesn't have a social life and they don't know anyone here, even though she is learning English.
