Obviously with the midfield options we have, maybe that's changed, we'll see tomorrow I guess. I think he has been injured as well
-
I reckon Bazunu Yuki Stephens Quarshie Wellington Fernandes Charles Armstrong Archer Downs Fraser If we go 3-5-2 (or 5-2-3) then Edwards comes in for Archer.
-
20 man squad, so based on the injuries and players who aren't involved, that's probably... GK: Bazunu, McCarthy DF: Manning, Stephens, Edwards, Wood, Yuki, Quarshie, Welington, Kayi Sanda MF: Downes, Fernandes, Charles, Sesay FW: Armstrong, Archer, Downs, Robinson, Fraser and one of BBD or Stewart? Matsuki is going out on loan I think? So I've left him out, but writing all that down... we look very light in central midfield with Smallbone and Aribo not involved.

Everyone buckle up, the circus rolls in today! Looking forward to Brum v Ipswich. This is where we'll see if Birmingham really are promotion contenders.

I can see how Parsons rubs people up the wrong way but tbh I appreciate his honesty and directness. -

The best thing about these forums is the comments on here. Brings me back to the Pompey News live pages that we hijacked back in their admin days -
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/36176238/tyler-dibling-southampton-everton-transfer-training/ TYLER DIBLING is training away from the first team at Southampton with his future uncertain. Saints have rejected two bids from Everton for the teenager. The Toffees’ latest bid was £40million, with relegated Saints setting an asking price of £45m before add ons. David Moyes is desperate to add a winger but the club are now deciding whether to move on due to Southampton’s valuation. Saints begin their Championship season at home to Wrexham on Saturday and with Dibling’s future up in the air, new boss Will Still has decided the youngster should not be part of first team training. Dibling is now working with a small group of players doing only fitness work while a solution is worked on. The 19-year-old scored two goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season, making a flying start under Russell Martin before struggling with injury and confidence issues towards the end of the campaign. Southampton are looking to trim the size of their squad this summer. Paul Onuachu, Jan Bednarek and Kamaldeen Sulemana have all already left on permanent deals. Dibling is expected to follow, while there is mounting interest in midfielder Mateus Fernandes. West Ham have expressed an interest, though there are also a number of European clubs monitoring his situation, including Atletico Madrid. Joe Aribo has been the subject of interest from Turkish side Besiktas but is reluctant to move to Turkey, while Will Smallbone could move on.

Jack Rosser has said WS made the decision. I put that out just before it was posted on Twitter haha. Does this make me ITK? 1% hit rate
-
Will Still has probably made the decision himself. He may not be 100% in terms of fitness and wouldn't be ready to play anyway, we don't know.
-
Factless Allen is still going

The players they've signed are decent at this level but nothing more. There's a reason why Windass, Hardie, O'Brien were playing for lower-half Championship clubs. Coady and Moore are smart signings as that does give them a bit of experience but tbh I think they should be looking at younger players. They'll test us and ultimately they have absolutely nothing to lose, but we should have too much for them, and if we do struggle, we have options off the bench. That's why I wouldn't start Robinson as I feel he'd have bigger impact off the bench. Archer and Armstrong can run around and tire their defence out for him.
-
I suspect so, but that would from a financial point of view would make it a necessity. We can't have both sadly.
-
We'll announce him just before the fans forum on Thursday. Dibling sold on Friday
-
As much as we would like him to stay, if he does then we'd almost certainly have to sell Fernandes, who at least has a long-term contract in place.
-
Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Pamplemousse replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
I've got no concerns over Jack or Gav playing. Both will need to be replaced if we get to the Premier League but at this level both are fine. -
We've got a good omen in the referee - James Bell - 4 times he refereed us two seasons ago in the Champ and we won all 4 games.
-
If Downes isn't 100% then no point in risking him, we'll need him in the Ipswich game more than this one.
