  1. It wouldn't surprise me if Hull dropped out, there's always a team in the top 4 or 5 that have a shocking end of the season.
  2. Disappointing outcome but only one team was trying to win that. We did the same to teams last season as Charlton did and fluked our way to results (think Man City at home) - it happens. We played well, move on and win on Tuesday.
  3. Looks like there are about 1500 tickets available so should be near 30k crowd. Charlton haven't sold the full 3000 though.
  4. https://intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/28985/jones-out Hopefully we can put the final nail in his management coffin.
  5. Engineering works in Winchester that weekend as well for anyone getting the train up. I reckon we should still easily take 4000 plus.
  6. We did pretty well against Liverpool earlier in the season, any they only just scraped past Stoke in the last round. They should win but we have a chance.
  7. Because it's the Champions League the midweek after and the fixtures won't be known until a couple of weeks time, it's quite likely that all the games involving those teams will be on the Saturday. It depends how flexible UEFA are willing to be. Which often they're not. Not sure if they will schedule any games for the Monday (possibly West Ham v Brentford) but it might be 1 on Friday, and then 3 or 4 each on Saturday/Sunday I think every game will be on TV so it's more likely it'll be on the Sunday than Saturday, simply because more games need to be on a Saturday and ours can be on the Sunday. If cannot be Monday as we play on Wednesday. It also depends if TNT want each game in a unique slot or not. We'll find out by the end of the week anyway but I reckon it'll be the Sunday.
  8. The worst possible draw would be Port Vale/Bristol City. They play on the Tuesday before the 5th round weekend so good luck to any club having to sort out away tickets in a couple of days
  9. Have to be wary about them. They beat Ipswich 3-0 away, and there's absolutely no way they will be as open as they were in November. We should win but they seemed to have turned things around after a dodgy spell, much like we have.
  10. Loads of tickets left, going to be a small crowd despite the cheap tickets. Hopefully the uptick in form will see a few last minute purchases
  11. Opta's supercomputer now has us finishing 6th at the end of the season. https://theanalyst.com/competition/english-championship/table
  12. If anyone fancies some bedtime reading... it is well recommended https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/138785-southampton-match-thread-h-745/page/33/#comments From Stewart's goal
  13. Just on the train home. The greatest game I've ever been to. Forget the first half, it was shit. The second half was incredible. We never do that. That stuff happens to us, not the other way around. I'm in complete shock but I love it. Apart from Portsmouth, that was the perfect team for that to happen against. That avenges the 9-0 and that awful last-minute goal last season. We're even now. And even better we get to rub it in their faces on Saturday. Hahahahahahaha. Fuck off you foxy cunts.
  14. They were absolutely terrible when we played them at home. Just strange how uncompetitive they ate especially with Mavididi and Fatawu
  15. It's absolutely doable - especially as we still have to play most of those teams. Wrexham and Preston away, Bristol City, Derby and QPR at home. But ultimately we just have to keep winning. It's in our own hands still.
  16. I guess when the game got rearranged and we were doing badly, most people thought sod it I won't bother. Maybe now we're in a bit of form and it looks like we have something to fight for, it's just a one off. I'll be there in any case.
  17. Imagine if Leicester appeal and get 2 or 3 points back to then relegate Portsmouth after the end of the season. I genuinely think I'd die from laughter.
  18. Leicester have been given a 6 point deduction
  19. TV games for start of March announced. Our games against Norwich at home and West Brom stay as they were - the Norwich game will move though if either of us win our FA Cup tie as that is the 5th Round weekend. The next weekend is Coventry away - we both play on Wednesday so it will probably stay on Saturday, I'd guess that's likely to move for TV to 12.30pm but we'll find for sure next Thursday at 4pm... I was having a look at trains for all our home games and there are quite a few weekends with engineering works coming up around Southampton, Winchester or Eastleigh which is a bit of a pain.
  20. The club are trialling digital tickets for the West Brom away fixture next month. I know it's mandatory in the Premier League (starting from this season) so I can understand why they're trialling it in preparation for a future season (hopefully) but it's a shame. I've got a nice collection of away match tickets.
  21. It looked like they were making a surge into the play off places but their form has dipped recently - no win in 4, probably 5 after Hull, if we play like we did on Saturday then we should win. Hopefully we're over our own blip and can move forward.
  22. Gut feeling. He's only really played at higher level clubs, he's struggling now but sometimes a step down is a good thing for him to find his confidence again. Which he will want to do when he has a home World Cup coming up.
  23. Larin on a loan makes sense. Should be good enough for the Championship and if it doesn't work out then cheerio. Personally I think it's a good signing.
