    Better.
  2. No, we won't.
  3. I think you'll find Brighton have played 28 games since Adkins took over at Southampton and got 61 points.
  4. I should bloody hope so too! 83 points would mean us dropping 24 points from our last 13 games. That's not going to happen.
  5. How's that going, then?
  6. Champions 5-0 Leyton Orient
  7. The play offs are a money making venture. Fewer games is not going to happen.
  8. err.. most form tables look at the last 8 games..... 12 points from the last 24 available has you level with free falling Charlton and 9th. Still, you keep on being selective with your stats....

    Adkins

Ah. See you're dropping the MK game from your stats now. You said you wouldn't do that.
  10. And I think Micky was suggesting maybe you worry about getting into the Championship first?
  11. So better than you then.
  12. I think the final league placings are the basis on which people judge teams performance not individual games or parts of the season. So, patently those teams were better than Saints.
  13. Number of outfield players Stoke City played in their following game at Arsenal? 9. The only change was the keeper and Etherington. the Keeper (Sorensen) is hardly a novice either. Number of outfield players MUFC played in their following game. 1. O'Shea. Not full strength? Right oh.
  14. Very sad news. R.I.P.
  15. Yes, yes it was.
  16. Agree with 1 and 2....however 3.... http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/7984432.Bloom_targets_top_two_next_season/ .......but I would be really unhappy if we were in the play-offs next season. “We are aiming for the top two, Gus is the same. There are no guarantees but everything is looking good, on and off the pitch.” And with that, my 3 posts for the day are done.
  17. This really is nonsense and I believe you know it. Poyet took over a poor side 15 games into the season. We had been poor for a number of seasons. The transformation has been remarkable by anyones standards. How many games played when Adkins took over? You're saying that Southampton were a poorer side than the Brighton team Poyet took over? They weren't, quite obviously to everybody. Apart from you it would seem.
  18. I'm not sure a game against a full strength Premier League side (and they were at full strength) is the best gauge. Plenty of Premier League teams struggle to cope with Stoke City, that's why they're now established as a top 10 side. Meanwhile we were missing four first team regulars. Meanwhile, everyone saw how useful a MUFC XI is against Crawley. Lastly, if you were 4 points clear of second place with 3 games in hand and 7 points clear of third with 2 in hand do you think this place may be thinking Championship football was looking on the cards for 2011/12? To fecking right it would.
  19. Obviously. But that's not the situation. So what's your point?
  20. On the flip side.... As the statistics show, when they have had to do without Lallana this season things have not gone well. Injury has prevented Lallana starting ten games for Saints this season – of those nine they have only managed to win one, a 1-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday. They have failed to score in eight of those ten matches, only bagging two goals without him in the side.
  21. What about now?
  22. Do you know what "in open play" means?
  23. The Brighton keeper can be as slow as he likes when the ball is in open play. It's up to the forwards to close him down.
