  1. He does have troublingly small ears
  2. PICK THAT ONE OUT! Was refreshing desperately online at 2-0 but internet died. 2-2 at full time feels as good as a win! Now we are going to be fending off £30m bids for Clyne and Shaw now... How many teams must feel so stupid for not getting Clyne in at that matter, £2.5m to make him our first choice RB has to be one of those buys of the season!
  3. Ah well can only hope packing out the midfield like city away and united at home keeps them out till Lambert comes on... It's generally a good game plan though 7 of the out field to deal with their front 6 and more mobile dribblers up front with a return of Guly after Gastons shameful display out on the left against villa. Result depends entirely which Chelsea turns up with a sly 1-0 for us or an 8-1 for them
  4. Stuck a quid on Lambert first goal just in case someone goes down in the area in the first few mins...
  5. Just get rid and we can work on it quickly over the next 2 weeks. Has proven him self to categorically be unable to play LB in the premier league, maybe left wing but Shaw coming off against villa blew that chance. Take a decent price (at least what we paid for him) and move on. Thank's for the 18 months (12 of good service).
  6. Also the perfect and professional response. Much more sensible than 'Arry and his blabber mouth to get things your way approach. It seems to get us the right players as well, don't seem to have many whinge to the press players now kicking about the club which is a nice improvement.
  7. Its defiantly an important aspect to the season, beating the teams around us and getting points of the teams not far above us is the best target to staying up. I like the mini table too, conceded the least goals against the teams around us (half scored by Wigan too).
  8. Seabourne! Apparently his loan spell at CAFC was universally panned as "not up to this league" by CAFC fans, despite getting a fair few games (though mostly at LB). Still terrified to think he might get a shot in the prem
  9. Has to be transfer fees! Would rather spend an extra million up front instead of buying a player who could be rubbish and drag us the way of Portsmouth...
  10. 80k per week and a cheap release clause when they go down (supposed to be more a week than Newcastle's 70k anyway) Footballing perspective what a tit, financial perspective it's amazing, earn a stupid amount of money (plus loads of add on bonuses from the transfer and contract) and as soon as they still go down, up sicks and get a not quite so good deal but another payoff...
  11. Wasn't that all the time they spent at Swansea together... You'd think if Allen was a real talent in midfield a Premier League team would have made Swansea an offer they couldn't refuse for him ages ago.
  12. Has he signed yet?
  13. So far he has shown a lot of good stuff, just is quite a raw player. When he is running around in the hole with Lallana and Punch on their best games on the wings and Lambert up front playing well he looks amazing. Out left he looks hit and miss, thought he was hacked off the ball too many times by Villa (no bookings for some terrible L2 challenges there might I add) then his head dropped and he was pretty much out the game. A shame but it was clear it wasn't his day. Stand by there is a huge amount to come from the guy as he just oozes class and talent on the ball, just needs more time for everything to come together in the squad around him.
  14. Would cost a lot of money for the standard of Cork and Morgan you mean I don't think they have any players that can really do that sort of role, let alone any good ones! You're right though we don't quite appreciate how brilliant Cork and Morgan's signings have been in the long run, a Chelsea supporting mate of mine was livid they didn't make space in the squad for Cork and sold him for a tenth of his value (his valuation).
  15. He looked good but horribly out of position. For me he lent him self to be playing in a much further forward role as his tackling and positioning for a Defensive midfielder was shocking (and relied entirely on pace to get him out of the problem). Get him in front of a Cork + Morgan midfield and he would provide a lot more to a team, but Villa just haven't any players like that...
  16. Sorry but Nigel is FAR too good with the press to be sacked right now! His Rodriguez never dived is too good an explanation to stand by him! Great man sod Di Matteo right now!
  17. Rodriguez had to have score 4-5 to deserve that sort of praise from where I was... Plus Punch had one of his L1 games... It was a nervy game both upper and lower tiers were really out of sync, one singing one thing and the other wanted lambert goal machine. Bad ground and bad (well good) management of the away fans though the villa fans only sung when it was all Benteke flailing miserably at the ball... Could ask from more for us, but then we have to have a Reading style conductor for the songs which is very gay, we made plenty of noise and didn't do many of the kumbya songs which villa will look back on and feel very stupid if nothing else... Especially as the had the sum total of 35 fans singing most the game...
  18. Well up for it a general thing (whilst the real captain is out of Fonte). He's a funny guy as you can't not like him with the friendly scouse accent and the genuine care for the guys around him/club. Maybe we made a mistake giving Lallana so much responsibility at a young age when Fonte then Lambert could deal with it properly and Lallana can learn how to behave properly from them...
  19. Gave everyone team ratings eventually.... Boruc was by no means bad, but he really did give Villa the odd moment where they thought they could get back in. His kicking was on a par with a dead goose (or Kelvin Davis) and his catching was no better. Thankfully he came for crosses which was one up on the dead goose and his throws were blinding (shame most people didn't get on the end of them) If Gazza has one utterly blinding attribute its his time wasting. He wouldn't have been booked for it today because he is the most clever/infuriating keeper to watch. Boruc is better than the dead goose on that front but only because he can vaguely do it... Still not great and got booked for time wasting (ruining are chance of winning the fair play league...) but he was ok. Punch is the worst problem of the squad today but Boruc was still an average second on that front. We were good at CB, good full backs, good CM's and generally good enough on the wings (though their right we got lucky how poor our left was today) and good forwards so not much to worry about....
  20. Agree Villa are going down, only Benteke is a prem player. Paul Lambert is a classless tit. We needed a round of "Shít support my lord shít support" as their fans were some of the worst I have seen away this season. On a par with Arsenal. Punch needs a kick in the testicles, no one is chasing him for that place and it shows on the pitch, wastes possession, refuses to go with the flow of play (slows it down at the wrong moments and tries to speed it up at the wrong times). He needs competition that we don't have and it is why he wont get a new contract. Gaston is terrible out on the left. Then so is De Ridder. At least Gaston can track back and win/play the ball, De Ridder looks like he'd be more at home in the L2 standard villa team. Brum is a great place for a few pints though, cheap and friendly (with fairly attractive women), shame there was no wba cheap burgers. Cannot wait to see Paul Lambert sacked as he is a classless tit and a 45k stadium in the champ, they have mostly champ and l1 player so they should be relegated at least once. Terrible team, terrible support and a nasty bit of a nice town.
  21. Next year yes, non of this period red home kit next year.
  22. Yep! He was good enough against a team made up of mostly kids and reserves players, real teams he is going to pass it to someone good (like Bent) and give goals away. Paul Robinson has to be the person we throw money and a Ferrari at to get him down here. I'll buy him a "Robinson1" number place and suck him off to get him here if thats what it takes.
  23. Only interested if its a permanent transfer. Then again he is supposed to be class! A good Rodriguez... Sign him up if its permanent! No point if its a loan...
  24. Boruc today gave a good performance, parried far too many shots that he should have caught and several in the second half ended up in front of Benteke who as thankfully turd, but he came for most crosses and generally was in the right place. Sadly he's the best we have and still isn't quite enough. Guzan gave a better performance though has one of the worst defences ever to grace the premier league in front of him...
  25. Just home! Delighted we FINALLY get our share of luck and walk away with a win that probably wasn't 100% ours. First time that has happened this season and so many teams have gotten crap off of us for nothing its about time it goes our way. Yoshida motm! Couple of little mistakes (as everyone) but was the difference as a composed and organising CB. Seemed to be operating Jos on a wire so the both 99% of the time were in the right place Boruc was a good shot stopper and came for plenty of crosses but still parried into far too many danger zones and was dog poo with some of his kicks, bought a lot of pressure onto us but still is our best keeper. Can only hope Paul Robinson is on his way monday morning... Couldn't see the pen decision, looked massively like a pass-back anyway and even if its a dive, it makes up for Crouch handling in the build up for Stokes equaliser!± Love Lambert again, 31 pens for us and 31 converted now? Utter legend! If I ever meet him in a bar he will have all his drinks bought by me for that alone. Only real concerns, Gaston is turd on the left, utter turd, get some one better out there and left Gaston back in the middle! Rodriguez needs to sort it out, some blinding touches then woeful finishes followed by some great shots but needed a touch to put the shot from the right place, a lot of work on him is needed. Finally we NEED Punch competition as quick as possible! He looked lazy and complacent at 60 mins, subbed at 75 odd for Steven Davis who isn't that effective out there (and we are stuck with De Ridder as back up the other side which is just as poor) but it had to be done as he wasn't rushing about at all 2nd half. Still delighted for our first prem double of the season and delighted to see Villa be utter turd, never seen a team more likely to go down than them. Performance wise Boruc 7 Got behind enough, caught enough, everyone covered his drops so it overall was ok. Shaw 9 in positions almost all the game, did everything, a beast Yoshida 9 motm, shear desire to win (same as Fonte for Fulham at home) and a command CB as needed Jos 7, good game for once and didn't get one the score sheet. Clyne 7, targeted a bit, didn't close down quick enough but made up for most of it going forward and tackling. Morg and Cork both 8, both a great paring. On their own their performances were really good, as a pare they were what Arsenal would cream over. Gaston 3, Turd. Worst game in a saints shirt, not a left winger and no one knew what he was doing, should have shoved lee there as he has a better idea of what everyone else wants from the left. Punch 6, threatened, flashes of quality, flashes of being a lazy ass. Lambert 8, great pen, covered for everyone being crap, over stretched him self too much though. Rodriguez 6, flashes of great movement hampered by being a terrible shot followed by great shot 8 yards too far out. Need confidence to shoot in the right places. Won us a pen though. Fox 6, didn't do much going forward but Gaston was so cack there it had to happen. Steven Davis 6, not a RW but had to come on and ended up as the lone forward once or twice. Wanted him to get the 2nd against his old club but it wasn't to be. De Ridder 0, utter cack when he came on. Was like having 10 men on it was that bad, set up a villa chance ffs! Close to being as bad as Ali Dia today... Adkins 10/10! Loving the fan appreciation and got the team to hold out for a 1-0 away.
