Yeah the ground was pretty good, a realistic version of the Richo Arena really, nice and steep to get a good view with a well run concourse.

The morning after feeling, MOTM Scheiderlin for me, tackles all over the park, got better when we only played one DM and pushed everyone forward (and Cork to RB) that opened up Wigans tighter than a nun formation right up. No idea who the curly haired guy was fro them but the ref should have been coming down on him like a ton of bricks for ploughing through Shaw at every moment in the first half, nasty little player. Also had they never heard of foul throws yesterday? Wigan got loads and no one seemed to care. We look a lot better with Steven Davis pressing forwards with Lallana, Rodriguez and Lambert feeding off him. Punch wasn't there and should have come off a lot sooner as was poor again. A lack of focus on wing play seems to have hurt punch/clynes games a bit for now. Just need to win in the next few weeks really

Is it bad I can't name a pair of CM's in the league id take over them? No? Good! Best in the league, its awkward teams like Arsenal don't have 2 good ball winning and ball playing midfielders, at the same time... It's embarrassing Chelsea sold one of them too us! Need I say more?

Also should have taken 3 poitns at home to united (and a point away to city)
-
City at home is a "must get at least a point!" Weird feeling but they have cack all at the back and we have everything going forward so should get something, after that should get a few 3 points to keep us up.

cünt badger! Was GREAT away support today! Sung from the first min! Struggled from 45-60 mins but in those conditions we always do. It went mental for the last 20 mins. As away support goes it was great, had much much worse in the prem this season (bad grounds and day trippers) today had neither, just unlucky about the performance...

I'm just home, Steve Grant has a lot to say to having a few kopperbergs whilst we get battered on the train home (and not coming for a chat) Should have lost on first half performance, should have won on second half performance, so a draw is ok just... Can't muck it up at home like that though! They were GASH and that long haired **** had no idea how to play football. Manager made the right calls, Clyne didn't go forward effectively, Gaston was gash away from home (sadly) Steven Davis was an inspired person to bring on (should start more) can't wait for Lallana to be properly fit soon! Punch needs a kick in the testicles because quite frankly he was utter **** for 80 mins and did the sum total of bugger all. the 4-3-3 only works when we either have 2 wingers playing as wingers or two offensive midfields playing that role. Not an in between! At very least the cack around us didn't get too close. villa few, QPR drew and Wigan drew...

Squad Numbers and Official squad list?
pingwing replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Best sets of middle names there! Rickie Lee Lambert, Jack Frank Porteous Cork and Gaston Exequiel Ramirez Pereyra! -
The front sweeper concept always gets a chuckle! Surely we shot our selves in the foot loaning our SDR and Forte though, they are so quick that the should be able to cover the width of the pitch at 25 years providing a sonic the hedgehog like screen in front of the back line, leaving the other 9 plays to get on and score.

Thought it's probably worth emailing the FA to find out how Redknapp got away with that case of tapping up....
-
Owwww I was hoping they didn't already know all of that and it would be an interesting surprise for them... At least he's another one of those players almost out the door now.

Is the January transfer window a waste of time?
pingwing replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
It's needed really, it's the only control to stop clubs going around tapping up players and throwing about money all year. Imagine if someone inform for Wigan was suddenly given an £8m offer from City then a massive contract, head's turned, player stops playing as well, Wigan are screwed regardless if they sell him or not. Without the window it should take the pressure to pay over the odds for silly players but then teams should have the ability to plan and scout players properly anyway to ensure they don't get raped during the window. It's not the window that is to blame, its the attitude of clubs that buying more players in the short term gets results, when realistically purchases made over a longer plan get long term success and results. -
Why? We have signed a CB to ensure we never have to play Seaborne again, loaned out most of the hangers on and not sold anyone good. Could have done with someone like Ince or Phillips and maybe another LB but being raped like QPR for transfer fees isn't really worth it.

Pictures needed of you looking happy with this £50!

Provided we try out this 3 offensive midfielders instead of one and 2 wingers lark we should be fine by winning key games. Only thing that needs to be sorted is getting Rickie scoring more and it'll be fine.

It's only shrewd if he turns out good, he could end up the way of most "ZOMG NEXT ENGLAND NO.1'S" on the scrap heap and gets Stoke relegated next year. It also confirms what has generally been speculated that Begovic is leaving Stoke in the summer, last I heard it was to United for £15m but plenty of teams have this weird keeper strategy (we have our own unique one). Chances are he'll take 5/6 years to get better and when he Stoke get relegated it'll turn into a bit of a mess.

Free agent deadline is March 11th-ish (I think) but loan is 11pm tonight as well as you said.

It'll be officially changed to LUUUUUUKKKKKKKEEEE, killing football for ever more. Apparently the fan base hate the Beatles as they are a bunch hippies and hate the Clash for being unwashed old men ruining the chances of any of the other songs for him taking off.

This does actually deserve two threads. I'm driving him as we speak, he's not enjoying my music taste or my constant criticism of why he didn't win it against pomp at home when he was clean through and did exactly nothing.

Ban! Ruined my evening...

Lee Chung-Yong missed an entire season with a broken leg last year (partly why Bolton went down), I think he's a really good player, good passer and good movement, the sort of guy we generally go for. Would be delighted if we signed him!
