Well put. Very odd how quickly players become "boo-boys" without doing anything wrong. His game against city was also really impressive to add to the list of moments to quash the "rubbish away" argument (as was the little pass for the 3rd goal against Ipswich away).

Top stuff from the of the squad there!

Been saying all season, training with Theo and under the watch of Wenger has ruined a promising player because he wanted money.
-
We can still beat them, Sunderland are very one dimensional, out wide, wip it, see what happens. On repeat. No real control of the ball or drawing players out of position. Just as long as we control the ball we will be fine against this.
-
Good god Reading are poor. I thought they were bad Saturday but this is embarrassing, they have no plan of attack and seem unable to deal with Sunderlands only attack of go wide and hope it gets to Fletcher.

So our new director of communications should really just run a campaign teaching every saints fan how to use the online ticket system...
-
4. Shenanegans. 5. Just follow the rules they have put out. You will get tickets because there is enough space in the rest of the ground to move block 42... 6. Ticket office for me have always sent out tickets bought for other accounts to who ever has paid. I am amazed other people have had problems with this set up, seems to be an internet myth that the ticket office do these things to customers under its own accord.

After watching Newcastle this evening, Adkins is still miles better than Pards. Best sacking ever made.

Just think this is the perfect moment for a two week break with Sunderland playing twice during it. Good opportunity to get everyone back to peak fitness and everyone good and sharp for the game. West Ham have a difficult set of games and they are catchable by the new year too.

Be cause Jose Font baby, Jose Font OHHHHH, seems difficult to sing Shame as Font is better than actually pronouncing the A...

Never seen a champ team in the premier league before. Not one of the players would have challenged for a place in our first team (and though that russian bloke was injured he still would be behind at least Lambert and probably Rodriguez for me). Pretty depressing looking at the player they bought and thought they could make a go of it. Plus they are by far the worst kick and rush team so far, cutting the ball out to Roberts seemed to destroy their game plan so badly Their fans had terrible chants (just like last year) which was just embarrassing. Shame everyone was as tense about the result as last year too, didn't really need to be.

Us on 18 points would be great. Can't see QPR breaking double figures by christmas and Reading ideally will draw with Sunderland. Also having Fulham on Boxing day and Stoke on the 29th is a pretty good pair of fixtures, Fulham are quietly falling apart and Stoke are resilient (and HORRIBLE to watch) both of which we stand a chance to get something from. 14th/15th would be idea for the new year and quite achievable.

Next to Yoshida he seems to have really found a partnership that works, they are both confident to play the ball, know who is going to get which ball and who to mark/stick to like glue. I think Jos just demonstrates the different needs in different leagues, he is an all action CB who goes for everything, works well in the champ where everyone is always going for everything. In the prem that attitude is very costly (his pen's conceded and own goals are way too high so far this year) as it is the simplest way to create a mistake that the opposition will pounce on. Both Fonte and Yoshida have shown they have the mentality to take a moment to think what to challenge for and time it properly, its a refreshing partnership to watch now it has gotten working. Also loved his shear determination against Fulham, his interview afterwards summed it up though of "should of won, cannot believe I had to play like that to get a point", top guy for honesty and determination to succeed with us!

Consistency, we have had about 5 games now with minimal changes, everyone knows their role and where each other is. Helped massively with the return of Cork and emergence of Shaw as well as Gaston getting back in. One of the best bits about the squad is we are now settled to where everyone should and needs to be, no more mucking about with people out of position to try and make a formation work or constantly switching people in and out of position confusing our selves instead of the opposition.
-
He's become such a good player, really good passer and tackler which is a big plus in the prem (and a massive luxury lower down). I can only guess a few years of playing every game has done him wonders

Good game, dominated and made them look a proper champ team. Ref had a nightmare giving free kicks to Roberts falling over on his own accord. Also no clear reason why Punch had his first chalked off. Very pleased that we looked a decent well organised side with clear aims, objectives and an attacking mentality that scared them completely. Can't believe there is a team below them still. At least we are getting it right where it counts against the teams at the bottom. Just need to beat Sunderland and we are looking to be in a great position for christmas and the new year.

"together as one, we will keep learning and striving forwards because we are together as one"

He's a poor mans Billy Sharp.
-
Has to say it to justify his position and decision, despite the fact Norwich we didn't in the best shape and should have rotated and by Liverpool everyone looked tired.
-
Oh yeah! Comical pair of names to get mixed up.

Dale Stevens deserved a clap after the goal when we went to Tranmere. Was an excellent finish.
-
Yes, yes it is. I like it, trains are going to absolutely ruined that day (all of my insider info from network rail) so 5.30pm tv kickoff is ideal as getting down is no longer an issue.
-
Well this clearly needed a new thread with all that new information provided.

Oh yeah patience is needed, but a bit of work on the mental side of things too from the club would do him the world of good. I also think he should be good winning balls that are in the air with a bit of a training. He has a good jump, just not put a lot of work into timing them yet. Same for having the confidence to take a step back and winning a ball in the air from the ground. It all comes from time, confidence and managing his expectations a bit better. At 23 there is no rush, but there probably shouldn't have been the rush to buy him this year unless there was a serious threat of him being snapped up soon to prevent future plans coming good.
-
Yeah that's what I was thinking, Rodriguez has turned up with such a weight of expectation and basically being thrown on as the super sub is making it a lot worse for him as he has to try and be the game changer. In his couple of prem starts he just doesn't look confident in the Lambert role (though quicker). Bit of a shame but it can be fixed. Mayuka is a mad one, flashes of looking like a real game changer for us but can only speculate something is going on in the training ground that is keeping him out the team. A real pain as he was the game changer (as was the chair that was thrown at the players for the first half) against Spurs.
