I'm struggling to tell how you actually feel about these signings... you only seem to comment on the money being spent and the expectation as a result... are you actually pleased we've made this signing?!?!

Read the first post, it pretty much covers it. After that, just speculation about who the player might be.

IF Stock is the player, then Wotton is probably most likely to drop out, and I would suggest Schneiderlin would be used a little more sparingly so as not to burn him out. He is still young remember, especially for a central midfielder. Plus, as you say, Lallana could then be used in the hole or alongside Lambert. Bottom line is, whoever we sign, it gives us more quality options... I think it's good to struggle to come up with a 'best 11'... keeps players on their toes and competing for places, but gives the manager options to change the system.

Nick, have you read the opening post? No, we don't know exactly who it is, but it is supposed to be someone who would be rated as a 'big' signing, and who is apparently friends with Fonte. I thought JackacnorySFC's post was quite clear, maybe I was wrong...!?!

I can only see two... although that is still one more than is necessary.

Things like this are the reason why I am so desperate for Saints to be run as a sustainable business that trades in the black, and does not have to rely on external funds. As grateful as I am to ML, ensuring that the club could run if he left tomorrow is far more important in the long run.
