To be fair, although you've not heard of him, clearly plenty of others have, and one injury does not automatically make him an unlikely target. Comparing him to Pulis is grossly unfair IMO. Stock has played many successful games and was Donny's player of the season last year. Pulis hasn't even played regularly for anyone, let alone be rated by any fans. I'm not saying anything about the likelihood of a transfer, just that your logic as to why it won't happen seems a bit loose to me.

Plenty of websites have 'live' pages that aren't directly linked from within the publicly visible site, but exist so that people can navigate to them if given the direct URL. Or, as seems to be the case, new/modified pages being edited, before a link to it goes live.

As I said previously, it is up to the recipient what he wants to do with it, and no one can stop him, however the moderators are well within their rights, if they (and, it seems, most people who saw it) feel it is best, to remove it. I agree, but sometimes a line has to be drawn, and like I said, it wasn't just the mods who felt it best to draw it in that particular place. That wasn't aimed at you, that was aimed at the people who could clearly read all the evidence for themselves, but wanted more, more, more when there really is nothing more to say at the moment. 'Fun' is one thing, but when private conversations are made public then the forum and it's woners have a duty (IMO) to consider whether it is correct for it to remain public on their medium, depending on possible ramifications. Some might consider it fun, and I'm sure in the long run we can look back and laugh at it and it won't have mattered much, but for now, I think the precautions are sensible.

I don't think it's WHAT was said that is the issue, just WHO supposedly said it, and HOW it was posted on the board. Bottom line is, everyone now knows about as much as they can know, and all we can do is wait to see what official news comes out. That may not be enough for some people who probably want a webcam attached to Stock's forehead or similar for the latest possible news, but tough. T'internet has created unbelievable impatience in some people.

Disagree. Just because something was out there, doesn't mean it is right for it to stay out there. Of course it being 'right' or 'wrong' is a judgement call but that's my opinion. IMO the mods have done exactly the right thing. Better safe than sorry and not let this site get involved. The ultimate responsibility of course lies with the person who took the screen shot and then decided to post it up, and they can of course post it anywhere that their conscience allows them to, but if it was me, I would consider it a betrayal of trust if I posted a private message up for all to see.

Agree with TDD. It's not a black and white argument, there are different fans who have different priorities and for some the league we play in and opponents we face ARE important unfortunately. Money obviously comes into it... for example I used to go to every game a few years ago but simply can't afford to at present, but I will be getting back there later this year as things improve (new job, gradually sorting things out). Personally I think we're showing good crowds considering where we are and what we've been through and I am quite proud of our following overall.

Judgin by what Pards said on Solent, about thinking about bringing someone in who's not having a good time of it elsewhere, it would fit with Ward. Plus Coleman admitted we'd been in contact. I'm just not sure if he'll want Fonte AND Ward. We await news with interest.

To be fair, I don't know for certain, but I know that publishing accounts is a requirement when you're listed... there may be other rules that say we have to still publish something but I'm not aware of them.

I agree with everything else you say, but this may be a problem... we're not a listed company anymore, so we don't have to publish accounts... I would be interested to see them, but I doubt we'll have the chance.
