  1. Knives are out but don't think general public are as outraged as the media. Politician in hypocrisy shock
  2. You didn't go to the Liverpool cup game I guess. Although many didn't wait for last 5 mins then.
  3. Wow a chance to tour their 'iconic venue' and see a flag
  4. Yeah shocking the media are even mentioning it. Leave him alone. Fraser Nelson knows. That poor Icelandic PM - resigned for no reason whatsoever. Lynch mob mentality that expect people to pay their taxes and have integrity. Idiots
  5. Last line makes me think of Duckhunter
  6. This is so often the argument - look at the 'non jobs' created. Of course not saying isn't waste in public sector but do you think no increase in tax receipts has any impact on improving our education, health and transport systems? Also all these perceived luxuries such as sure start centres can be essential to some. I have been lucky and my family has never had to take advantage of many of the schemes and opportunities for the less well off. Doesn't mean they are all nonsense and should be scrapped though. We all have things that annoy us and a waste of taxpayers money similarly we all probably think the BBC shouldn't be wasting money on this or that. I accept that my taxes help make for a better society - questionable at times I agree, but no excuse to avoid them.
  7. Yeah team talk just needs to be 'c'mon lads it's Newcastle'
  8. SOG standard response. Don't actually profile anything or suggest pattern to problems which anyone of intelligence acknowledges. Natural to say hey what about Jimmy Saville. No doubt if you were a social worker and had a 14 yo report something you would dismiss her as a racist fantasist and quote prison stats to her.
  9. Well said. I too know someone who could quadruple her salary working on the other side. She chooses to to stay at HMRC and thankfully still some good bright sorts there.
  10. And more.....http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/apr/07/david-cameron-offshore-trusts-eu-tax-crackdown-2013
  11. The topic being tax avoidance. You seemed to be defending it and then use a very lame defence that you entitled to your money and don't like where it goes to unworthy causes in your opinion. Fundamentally is greed. Hardly a personal attack either.
  12. Seems only in this country fans get so excited about a bumper TV deal. It isn't handouts! Spending more and getting the same. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/aug/28/tv-football-choice-rights-bt-sky
  13. Practicing Christians don't create death camps. That article is quite slanted and someone with your views are more than happy to believe it. Equally someone with Sour Mash's views will more than happily lap up a scare story from the Daily Mail demonising them. Implying no prosecutions as if it were all a figment of imagination. Are you happy to believe all the German New Years eve reporting was press with an agenda? There is no equivalent of Goebbels pushing propaganda through the media as far as I am aware.
  14. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/06/george-osborne-wont-answer-if-hes-benefited-from-offshore-funds/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_term=Autofeed#link_time=1459974952 You see nothing suspicious in this evasion?
  15. Topical http://news.sky.com/story/1674098/councils-need-230-times-more-to-fix-potholes
  16. I heard Bill Gates buys 20000 pairs of jeans every year
  17. Yeah taxes go on nothing useful eh.
  18. Fair enough and i concede I was wrong. Although i still don't call it a backlash but don't want to get involved in that one again
  19. I love the way greedy bstards seem to think they work so hard. yeah system is flawed and some getting away with it. But don't dress up your greed as any noble quality. You want to keep your money ok although probably the first to moan when you see a pothole, litter strewn parks
  20. Told you before where's the fatwas. Finding an article on the internet constitutes a backlash in your eyes then? I would actually struggle to think where I haven't seen a backlash about anything ever.
  21. Finding someone speaking out is not a backlash. Many Muslims condemn.
  22. Bet very few of the press jump on this as front page news. And Taxpayers Alliance will have fck all to say. But hey there is a single mum in a hotel - demonise!
  23. If I won £80m and someone said I could keep all of it by avoiding £20m of tax I would like to think I'd say no, £60m will do me.
  24. I am not expecting a backlash but definitely have not observed any such thing. Or seen it reported anywhere. Still stand by the view that people want to see one so assume there has been. Of course many are appalled and say so but nothing enough to refer to it as a backlash. That would suggest something has changed in last few years. Would like to see a fatwa put out on them for blasphemy.
