  1. I've genuinely just seen the following... Someone has bought their partner a 'secret' engagement ring and posted a photo of it to Facebook... and tagged their partner in it. Really made me laugh.
  2. Monday Night Football's Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher tonight named their team of the season. Consensus on 8, debate on 3. Gary Neville GK: Petr Cech RB: Séamus Coleman CB: Gary Cahill CB: John Terry LB: Leighton Baines RM: Adam Lallana CM: Steven Gerrard CM: Yaya Touré LM: Eden Hazard ST: Luis Suárez ST: Daniel Sturridge Jamie Carragher GK: David Marshall RB: Séamus Coleman CB: Gary Cahill CB: John Terry LB: Luke Shaw RM: Raheem Sterling CM: Steven Gerrard CM: Yaya Touré LM: Eden Hazard ST: Luis Suárez ST: Daniel Sturridge The three differences were then put to public vote with the public on Twitter choosing... GK: Marshall beat Cech LB: Shaw beat Baines RM: Sterling beat Shaw Agree? Your team...?
  3. I wish you'd never said that. You just know that Glasgow is going to call Mauricio the Argentinian Mick McCarthy now.
  4. He's not really saying that's his opinion of football, but how UEFA's fair play laws are going to make sure football stays. This quote is pertinent and correct: "Yet suppose Southampton wanted to take advantage of this ‘Class of 92’ windfall? Suppose owner Katharina Liebherr was minded, or persuaded, that her football club were on the cusp of something unique. That, by keeping the young players, keeping the good older players and adding a layer of expensively acquired talent on top, Southampton could have a proper tilt at muscling their way into the top four. Then a man in a suit from UEFA would say no. Southampton would be spending beyond their given para-meters and that isn’t financially fair, apparently. UEFA have no problem with Southampton being plundered by the elite. Yet if a very rich woman wanted to use her money to further her club, and make the most of their resources, that would not be allowed."
  5. No, no and thrice no.
  6. Zzz... ...yet another penalty for handball turned down. Will we ever get one?
  7. Don't forget the money off in the club shop on any purchase...
  8. Hang on. So it's not fair that a buddy of a STH (who may have attended less than four games or not at all), can't come to a big game to close the season, because those who have attended 4 games can. Yep, seems really unfair to me. I won't oppose it and it is certainly not a 'right'.
  9. I wish we could replace you, ****ing irritant.
  10. Jordan Sibley just went "favouriting a tweet?!" when a journalist suggested that the Luke Shaw transfer situation had "developed" due to his Twitter actions. Mauricio says that if Luke Shaw came to him to say he wanted to leave, MP would say "Talk to the club, talk to your owner."

  12. This I can get on board with. Marshall is a very good goalkeeper.
  13. An unknown for you perhaps Bazza, but for anyone with any sort of knowledge or simple lack of ignorance with regard to foreign football, not an unknown. He performed well for Uruguay at the Olympics, makes the team regularly and had a good season in one of Serie A's weaker sides. But then again, to expect you to not be ignorant is probably an ask too far. Never mind.
  14. Stoke have already announced theirs.
  15. Saints have just announced on Twitter that they game WILL NOT be moved. KO is Saturday 26th of April - 12:45 start. Also live on BT Sport 1.
  16. This would work, if you didn't have to be a top team in your own country to qualify for the Champions League. 3/10 - must do better.
  17. Looking at 2010's figures, that would put him on more than any other PL director - including David Gill at MUFC. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2010/10/29/2188218/revealed-manchester-uniteds-david-gill-is-highest-paid
  18. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/08042014-player-of-the-season-voting-1474428.aspx You use the club website, via the article above, to vote this season. Who've you gone for? Adam for me, I think. Dejan and Jay close.
  19. I'm not questioning the YES/NO of the vote, I'm just questioning why 9,000 season ticket holders just wouldn't bother to vote.
  20. I don't understand - why wouldn't you vote on this, even if it was just to say you were indifferent? For example if it were for 'Southampton Saints', would you vote - even if just to say you didn't mind? I really don't get why you would just not bother at all. It at least gives a conclusive answer.
  21. Video of part of his post-match press conference here: http://sport.bt.com/video-01363814401986?videoid=3434865167001 From 1:08 onwards he is quite amusing, and clearly very angry. What's people's views on this? Should he just keep quiet, or is he right in your eyes to vent his anger? Pochettino on the offside decision for MCFC's 2nd goal: “It was not clear, it was just offside, just one centimetre. It seemed like a type of game that you play at school, where you get these dumb refereeing decisions."
  22. https://vine.co/v/MipLeidVanA I know I probably shouldn't, but
