Financial results for year ending 30 June 2013
alpine_saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Can someone summarise for the financially illiterate amongst us ? Are we broke or minted ? Do we need to sell, or will we be able to buy in the summer without selling ? -
He'll back next season. Juve wont take their option. But hes finished here; the other players want nothing to do with him. Reckon KL should take the loss on the chin and cancel his contract, rather than have him hanging around disrupting the changing room.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

LOL. Now even the co-authors of the latest IPCC missive handed-down-from-God as stone cold hard fact are refusing to put their names to it.... The IPCC is a joke with a political agenda ‘The message in the first draft was that through adaptation and clever development these were manageable risks, but it did require we get our act together. ‘This has completely disappeared from the draft now, which is all about the impacts of climate change and the four horsemen of the apocalypse. This is a missed opportunity.’ -

Detailed presentation - Portugese Summary - English. Maybe you are on to something; maybe the findings dont stand up to scrutiny. -

As I said, I dont make the rules. Its just odd and, in my opinion, will have a negative impact on the effect of their announcement. For example, the Q & A will be less spontaneous. This isnt an injury update or about first team selection to face Cardiff, you know.. -

I am also glad he has got his life back on track, but still my skin crawls at just how bad he was in the PL relegation season; for me he abdicated his reponsibilty as one of the clubs senior pros, which makes me wonder about the comment that the real problems starting after he retired. -

I dont make the rules. I have seen a lot people over the years struggle valliantly to get their point across at conferences with English as a second language because of the demands of the international science and engineering communities. The French sometimes try it on, but they are just a standing joke that deflects from the credibility and attention their work gets. Why should a bunch of Brazillian scientists be allowed to buck the trend ? -

So what, the international language of science is English. -

Actually, Spock would say "Facscinating...." Changing the subject, and at the risk of sounding Anglo-centric, what internationally-respected team of scientists would report in Portugese ? -

Do you mean von Trapp ??? Cant even get yer cliches correct...

U WHAT ? Aw, no way. My local has gone ?

Did i have a dig ? I thought I just inferred I found his opinion hillarious. And I dont "cry fail" about anyone questioning my posts - just the inveitable personal abuse that goes with it, which you have admirably illustrated again. Btw, I am not from Tirol. I am from Southampton but live in one of the other counties of Austria. Fail again. I could describe you as "W++ker from Warsash", but I wont.

So useful he's started...lets see...how many times ? I havent written off my chances of knobbing the big-boobed red-head from Mad Men, but its not likely....

You dont see an issue with putting a ref who has been publicly humiliated, whose confidence will be shot, who is going to come out of his changing room like billy big-b*ll*cks in order to recover his authority, to ref a vital 6-pointer for us ?
-
Au contraire, they dont dare push back against the big boys; us, they feel like they can show who's boss....

If Juve pick up the option, and we dont have to find another club. Looking at his track-record so far, I find that unlikely. Your comment about Gashy is just funny.
-
You couldnt make this up... We really have made enemies at the PGMOL with the Clattenburg issue.
-
Yep. Reckon he would get more for Osvaldo and Ramirez.

I'd rather have the real deal back.
