  1. Without NC as gatekeeper, some team will pick him up at a bargain price. Just watch the vultures start circling the longer this Cortese business continues...
  2. Its all going a bit tits-up, isnt it ? If MP is now being dragged into what is developing into a very public spat between NC and the Liebherrs, both sides must be fairly deeply entrenched. This is going to take ages and seriously f**k up next season. Serious risk of relegation next season.
  3. Indeed, I have made no aspirations at all about whether Erazo is a good player or not.
  4. Yeah, like a dog locked up all day needing a p*ss..
  5. Well, at the end its up to you guys. I dont trust the authorities in England to administer impartially after the Tevez affair and the difference in the way our -10pts and Pompeys -10pts were applied.
  6. Lol. Different League. More media attention now. A pitch invasion could easily turn ugly - look at what happened at PSGs Championship celebrations this week.
  7. I would strongly recommend that no-one gives the FA an opportunity to dock points....
  8. Jesus, did he really say that ? There's happy-clappy, then there's taking it to a whole new level
  9. And you think that would all go straight into the transfer kitty, do you ? Besides, the OP is about "puling power", not financial muscle.
  10. This. Very easy to be smug in hindsight. If Spurs hadnt scored again Wigan in the last few minutes or Swansea hadnt somehow woken up, it might all have been different. I predicted 40points back around the turn of the year, so dont consider myself to have been that far away.
  11. Assuming the players would come from abroad, which seems to be NCs way, I am assuming the door would be opened by our EPL status, and leave the rest to NCs and MPs boyish charms...
  12. A few surpsing names amongst the "no" vote, I must say. One I could have predicted. He is the biggest attention-seeking front-bottom to frequent the site. We all know who I am talking about.
  13. I remain generally unconvinced by transfers from certain countries/cultures. Imo S. American transfers do not work for us (Ramirez another case in point), whereas Scandinavian transfers have generally been successful. I dont know why that is, and ifts a specific issue related to us. Could it be as simple as weather ? Or that Southampton is too far of the beaten track for the bigger cities and their more cosmpolitan lifestyle ? Who knows ?
  14. I dont get all the excusing against attaining "consistency". We seem to have managed it under Strachan and Hoddle.
  15. Much as I massively praise MP and NC for some early, good proactive and positive action (as I have screamed for every year, even better since it is regarding the defence..), somebody needs to point out to them that Ecuadorians and Saints do not mix.... Does anyone at least know what his birthday is ?
  16. Indeed, I cant see much wrong with it overall, apart from a bit of charity in a few cases. For example, the glossing over of the WBA result. Overall it was a bloody good season, but it could have turned out a bit better. Teams that are quality and succeed do it week-in, week-out. They dont go and beat Chelsea, Liverpool and ManC to lose at home to QPR. And the team simply didnt turn up against WBA, that is unacceptable. This is the step we have to take next year - consistency. And the improvement needs to start from the CB positions.
  17. Come on Wigan !!!
  18. If the latter is the real issue, I do empathise with the family to some degree; if they arent that into football, maybe it just looks like SFC was Markus's rich-boy's toy. But that toy has been draining your inheritance and will continue to drain it at an alarmingly increasing rate.
  19. I was sure that was the case anyway...
  20. Well done to the pair. Some of the best full-back prospects in the country. If we do something about the CBs, we should look pretty solid next season.
  21. I would argue that the numbers and percentages do that adequately. Would love to know what Misselbrook's problem with NC is. After all, NC has put tens of millions on the value of the club, would have thought Jonny would want his babies...
  22. Gets my vote. Good post.
  23. Working in the automotive component industry as I do, I can tell you the absolute f**king minefield there is to go through to get acceptance for safety critical electronic systems, such as steer-by-wire. The civil aviation industry is even worse. For me, pilotless air travel is either so far off the scope that we need not worry in our lifetimes, or wont happen ever.
