I posted something similar earlier. NC isnt stupid, and he appears to have had a great working relationship with NA up to this season. Maybe he has woken up to the fact that the way he drove the transfer window was misguided, in private accepts he was also to blame, and therefore isnt ready to string up NA yet. He maybe a hard-faced businessman, but he follows the Germanic model and not the Anglo-Saxon model, so is more forgiving and less hasty.
