I wonder sometimes if we have plan at all for the summer transfer window, or if we just trip over our signings...
-
Problem was, Niemi turned w*nk when Lundekvam lots his bottle and interest in 2005, and the rest of the defence followed suit. Our defence is in a similar state today.
-
Would be yet another mistake in the rapidly-growing catalogue of glaring tactical errors from NA. This team desperately needs a confidence-building win after we threw away the chance to build on the Spurs second half. Lets hope in this case NC does overrule him.

Complete new defence. Most of last nights 16 should be looking for new clubs too.

"Steer-by-wire" systems to feature in Nissan Road cars
alpine_saint replied to Colinjb's topic in Motoring Forum
Colin, I know its counter-intuitive, but I work in this industry and you would not believe the amount of effort that is going into these systems to make them safety-critical. We are having to almost match aircraft and military functional safety requirements at a fraction of the cost. Look up ISO 26262 on the net for more information. -
I work on airbag system and component design. I am genuinely bewildered at how this is possible. Airbag deployment systems are f**king complex. You cant just buy an airbag and install it in the car like its a spare bulb.
-
Probably, but the FA, the PL and the 19 other teams might have something to say about that.
-
Thats not Nigels problem though, is it ? Nigels problem currently is that (allegedly) he cant do the job as he wishes because NC and Reed have his hands tied behind his back.
-
If NC decides to replace NA, its a calcuated risk whoever he goes for.
-
????? WTF ? kwsaint asked a question, and I gave my answer. How on earth is that "shouting down" either ???

You have no idea if Cortese or Reed are partly to blame or not; it is sheer speculation. And I have made it clear that if NA is tolerating that and not walking away, he deserves what he is getting. NA could also have walked away after the disastrous transfer window, if he didnt agree with its results and could see the potential consequences as we did. Nope, he could have, and still can, stop this disastrous constellation; but he chooses not to.

Ah, so basically very close to what I wrote, but with a pedantic twist. Righty-ho

Hoddle.

Good post.

The second time you've said its simplistic, but you are as of yet to present any evidence as to why. Something isnt simplistic just 'cos you say so. And leave my family out of it.

The article has certainly given me pause for thought, but the basic tenet is wrong. If he had missed promotion last season after that start, he would have been fired anyway. NAs record with us is the stuff of legends; for me he is up there with Lawrie and Ted, but at the moment the PL looks completely over his head. Even the article has pointed out some of his tactical blunders. NC will not let us be relegated without doing something against it, and its his call. I am uncomfortable with the idea that he may be fired, but how much longer can the club permit the souls of the players, whom we are stuck with until January, to be demoralised and demotivated ?

Is it b*ll*cks. If he doesnt like it (and how can he, taking the brunt of the fans ire, the massive criticism in the sporting media, etc.), he can say so to Batman and Robin, and if he doesnt like the response, he can quit and be in another job in the Championship, where his track record is second-to-none, in about the time it takes for me to have a dump. Which suggests to me its all down to him, to be honest.
-
I am not going to blame Reed. NA picks the team, sets the formation, coaches the players. If we are crap, its because of him. On the off-chance the interference rumours are true, its still NAs fault for accepting this set-up.
-
By all means check 'em out. Both were award-winning. Perhaps I am showing my age.
-
Does this mean we swayed the summer signings with "plays when fit" clauses, or that NA cannot manage and/or motivate a PL-sized squad ?
-
You lot have mentioned some good ones. Allow me to mention a couple not already listed : Tour of Duty Space Above and Beyond (the most criminal cancellation I've ever experienced) Stargate SG-1

How many of those promoted clubs spend 30m in all the wrong places ?

I hope the Gurkhas get an opportunity to bury their kukris between the arse cheeks of some Taliban before they leave...

There are 3 more Mosquitos undergoing restoration to airworthiness in the world, but sadly they are all being done in NZ. That guy Glynn has made a new set of jigs for the wooden/epoxy airframe. There is no chance of any original airframe getting certified airworthy because of their construction. Dont know what the final destination of each Mossie will be, but really not optimistic of one ending up in the UK. I find it sad how the authorities in the UK dont give a sh*t about preserving our military heritage - Plymouth and Invincible are classic examples. How the f**k Belfast ever got preserved, I'll never know.
