Talked to an Eintracht Braunschweig fan at work this morning. He didnt know about Hughes being fired (normally hes up to speed on this stuff), but when he heard Hasenhüttl is in the frame, he said "good choice, good match of manager and club" He talked about bringing youth through and high tempo. Sounds a bit like a certain late-departed Argie manager of ours. He also described Hasenhüttl as a typical dour Austrian, difficult to please, and high on discipline. Just what we need...

I have been saying this for donkeys years and been totally ridiculed for it.

All that good work undone...

Time to give up on this season and try to get the right on-field and off-field teamin place for the Championship
-
There is no way Hughes will go now. In the short term, the firing of Reed has secured his job. The new DoF will have his ideas and want his own man & coaching team, and that may take a while to define after the DoF is appointed. Until then, Hughes will continue. Which means, considering how fast we move on such things and that Wreck-It is in charge of this appointment, that nothing on-field will change, even then at first we have a certain inertia to overcome, so we are as good as down.

Yet more points dropped at home. Hopeless & useless...

And today's "The Sky Isn't Blue" award goes to.... Reed was a disaster. -He hung off the coat-tails of the energy, freshness and momentum that Markus and Cortese brought to the club and took credit with smug photo opportunities at every occasion that presented itself when it went well -He sold off the family silver to his favourite club -He got rid of our best manager in decades largely through jealously -He went into hiding when everything went tittus verticus -He blew deal after deal, transfer after transfer, most memorable being Toby and Forster's last deal -He bought utter crap like Boufal, Gashton, Carillo, etc. Good f**king riddance. Hope his arse didnt scratch the paintwork on the door on the way out. F**k him.

How else do you think board changes will happen ? Gao clearly isnt going to do anythng.

Man City 6-1 defeat dissection post match thread.

I still look in occasionally, but theres not much point in posting any more to be honest. Its not as if anyone is interested in what I write. This club and this site is a busted flush. We are so going down. The manager is now irrelevant to this process. Totally. 3 we've tried, and the results are just getting worse as we make more and more p*ss poor on-the-cheap recruitment decisions. Unless there is a root-and-branch change at the club, we are totally b*ggered. -
3-0 inside 20mins. 83%-17% posession. Our worst defeat ever is on the cards. Should be the end of Hughes. And hopefully at least Reed.

And here's mine. SFC treated him like sh*t.

I'll be charitable and say "better late than never"...

R.I.P. Whether he was really interested in buying us or not (and I still think there is no smoke without a fire, even if he only looked at us briefly), he still had a major impact on our lives through IT innovation.

Maybe we need relegation like we needed administration...

Could never happen due to EU law. How many Carlos Kickaballs con EU passports somehow ? However, with Brexit happening, is this a chance to reclaim our sport from the money men ? -

Heard the arguments spouted by MLG and gammon chhecks before admin: they were wrong then and they are total garbage now seeing as admin gave us some of our best years ever... -
...in order to get shot of Gao and a crack at an owner who actually cares ? I guess his business image and reputation wont allow him to retain posession of a football club that loses Premier League status..
-
Seriously, why on earth should we change the manager again ? The last three have been spectacularly inept. Its down to the board, their strategy and the constraints they put on the incumbent manager. Its down to having an owner who doesnt want to spend any more (Fat Kat) followed by an owner who aint interested, only wants to hold his head high in company of his business peers, and anyway aint got any money. Unless another kind-hearted billionaire takes interest/pity, we're going down faster than a tart's knickers...
-
Another late goal...
-
Our problems run sooo deeper than who is the manager. Since Fat Kat decided to flog to the highest bidder, we've had major strucutral and strategic issues, which have carried over to being owned by someone with no money who bought us to look good with his business peers
-
Marvellous, Thank heavens for that.
-
Reckon they've done all they can within the constraints (money) they've been set. And thats me done for today (thank f**k).
-
Guess its a cliche, but this wont get turned around (if ever) until Gao, Kreuger and Reed are a dim and distant memory. Its simply not about the manager anymore, its about who has the deepest pockets. Maybe this is just the natural order of things re-instating itself. Really wonder where we'd be if Markus was still with us.
-
The reason we look like we are playing OK is, of course, because Liverpool no longer need to break sweat and can take the foot off the gas. If we got a goal now, they can easily step on it again and run out 7-1 winners. I know it sounds disloyal, but for those of us that dont use match-day as a reason for catching up with mates, and are too far away to attend regularly, is there any point anymore ? Lets not delude ourselves that football at English or European level is any longer a sporting competition

We've just taken a new Japanese colleague on at work and he (and a lot of the Japanese sport media, apparently) are of the opinion that somehow Yoshi is being pushed out of the door.
