  1. We can only judge on what we've seen so far, and I am happy/releived/impressed. The spirit and effort is there, we are just lacking a bit of quality. Amalagamating my own opinion, that on here, and the evidence of the first game, we need a GK, a LB, at least one CB and some pace on the wing. 4 to 5 new players. Then we should be sitting pretty.
  2. I note a few people expressing concern about Kelvin. Time for NA to go back to Brum with an improved offer for Butland ?
  3. completely missed todays game due to a prior committment, but would have been too nervous to tune-in anyway. Seen the result Seen the circumstances of the defeat. Proud as f**k of my club, and very impressed at their performance and resillience. Keep this up and we should be comfortably safe. Understand now why NA was looking at new LB options.
  4. Jesus. Suddenly that team feels weak all over, but especially in midfield and Sharp not starting. Good luck to the lads, hopefully the feeling of playing at the highest level and being the underdogs will inspire them to find a little extra.
  5. LOL. Fairytale stuff. Well done Lee Barnard for p*ssing in the cheaters pool. Still a Saint at heart.
  6. Am I missing something here ????
  7. Cheers for the update.
  8. Yep. Definitely this. Imagine all the outraged pikeys...
  9. Has this deal gone tits up or is still in the balance ? I am having trouble following it.
  10. This morning the old saying "be careful what you wish for - you might get it" never rang truer to me.....
  11. I so empathise with this post. I was getting absolutely furious whilst reading it. One of my kids has just turned round to me tonight and said he wants to quit playing football. He basically said he is sick of the fundamental injustice built into football; we live in a small village but because he wasnt born there, he gets left on the the bench in favour of less talented kids and gets little coaching support compared to the "locals". He is really down. He is 8 years old, FFS. I havent even explained to him what goes on at the higher levels, citing Pompey as a perfect example. We just watched 2.5 weeks of what sport is all about on TV, in glorious Technocolour. I am really thinking of nudging my kids in the directions of the new sports that left them starry-eyed in front of the TV and turning my back on this rancid sh*t-hole of a sport completely. I'll find a Southampton team in some other sport to support.
  12. The Williamson deal is a f**king joke, and makes a complete mockery of the whole situation.
  13. I think the "Poor Plucky Pompey" crap is rapidly evaporating and everyone is getting seriously f**ked off with them. Apart from the FL, of course, who twiddle their thumbs and do f**k all...
  14. NOBODY said we were finished.
  15. This trust bid is never going to fly. There are too many fingers in the cookie jar. They are so f**ked. I do not understand why they are not withdrawing and regrouping using the PST funds, ready for next season wherever they are placed in the Leauge heriarchy....
  16. What will happen if I tweet Neil Allen that I find his support of a rancid club full of thieving pikeys nauseating ?
  17. Seems all the skate fans are losing the plot. I am currently engaged in a pitch-battle on Facebook with somebody who I thought was a friend who appears to be getting hysterical.
  18. Nooope, spyinthesky asked the question. You were waving your d*ck uninvited.
  19. I just went on to Facebook and made a post about how the PFC fans can look in a mirror knowing how much shafting and intimidation has been going on down there relating to creditors, as they embark on their latest transfer activity. I have a friend from University that comes from Portsmouth and supports PFC. He was a right lefty, sermonising on everything, playing the guilt card over some historical footnote, etc. etc. I reckon you all know the type. I was shocked when he posted back, in quite a smug manner, that he looked in a mirror and had no problems whatsoever. Really astounded. A supposedly intelligent Socialist has as much of a "F**k that" attitude as morons such as Neil Allen.
  20. Yep. good post.
  21. simple frustration at starting the season with a weak defence when we have other forward options. Was clearly a rhetorical question. A bit of help for you : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhetoric
  22. You're not alone; I suspect Birchy is starting to have the same trouble if he thinks the -10 wont stand. Or it was a Freudian slip that he thinks the club is about to be wound up.
  23. LOL at Mr. Prozac accusing me of ignorance then saying I have written J-Rod off. I havent. I think hes a good buy. But I dont think he was top of our priority list when we have other options up front. And if we have a limited transfer budget his purchase wasnt the best use of it. But hey, dont let real opinions get in the way of a cliche-driven dig and an opportunity for snivelling sychophants like GingeLeTiss to cream their pants.
  24. LOL at the bandwagon jumping and singling me out again despite lots of posters saying the same thing this time round. Your post adds nothing to the discussion; its just full of the same, tired "I'm an Über Fan, and morally superior to you" cliches as every other post with the same tone and objective.
