Not worried about timing, I am more worried about budget constraints, and therefore priorities. I still think anyone who believes we are going to have a 25-30million transfer window deserves to be sectioned.

Pathetic thread. I am confident it is 0%. Yes, there may be some Saints fans that are not regulars who have decided to take the plunge for an ST now we are back in the limelight and glamour of the PL, but I am sure that they are not starting from the base of never going to see Saints. An ST is a serious investment, FFS.

Careful, mate. I made the same comments back at the time of the sash shirts and have been called a fat bastard on here ever since. Umbro sizes ARE small.

Is it just me, or did the way Spain play remind you of anyone...?

Well, whether you understand and/or agree or not, there is a body of opinion that considers Spain to be f**king boring, and seeing as it was a topic of discussion during the pre-match press conferences of both Del Bosque and Prandelli, it seems unlikely that this can be conveniently labellled as an "English thing" As someone else has said, the Germans were entertaining - powerful, skillful, fast and a wee bit dirty when needed. They were my team of the tournament until they suffered some sort of brain fart against the Italians. Maybe they have some sort of Henman/Murray-esque glass jaw mentality going on; hopefully they will grow out of it. And Spain played a team of injured and completely f**ked Italians last night, so I for one am not going to w*nk myself senseless over them like some media commentators have been doing. Imo they stand NO chance in Brazil in 2 years time.. -

Its an interesting discussion, this. Personally, I find watching Spain about as entertaining as watching gloss paint dry. But their style appears to be effective (even if its only by taking advantage of unforced errors caused by sheer energy-sapping tedium) and it appears to be gaining in popularity. Personally I despair at the notion that it is perceived that we play like that. -

This. The reason they cut through the Italians 4 times last night is because the poor Azzurii had dozed off in boredom. -
Dont let Gingeletiss get to you; he overcompensates his small inoffensive genitalia by coming across as the ÜberFan at every opportunty.

Strange position for NA to focus on, what with Danny Fox there. How about a new CB and RM ?

Lol. These on-line translators are sh*t.

The Zafira is still a good option. The engines in the old version were all thirsty buggers, dont know if GM have addressed this, but it is to some degree a consequence of the higher vehicle. The Flex 7 system of seating is totally without peer. And the price of Zafiras is so competitive against the opposition in the UK. I currently have one of the last of the old version Seat Alhambra (Volkswagen Sharan). Diesel. Very comfortable, lots of oomph, and the Seat despite being the same car as the Sharan came totally equipped with all the various options for several thousand Euros less. Drinks Diesel in towns, but if you do a long stretch like I did when I drove back to the UK, it is very economical. I reckon it used less than my BMW 320d company car for the same journey. It was clearly designed for long-distance cruising. Changing seat configuration is an utter nightmare though. Hearing nothing but good things about the new Alhambra / Sharan, even thinking about trading in myself. The sliding doors are really tempting with the kids.

Karma, mate. Wasnt supposed to be. Feel that money bulging your wallet instead.

I tend to find myself in agreement with Hitchens sometimes, but then he throws what I can only describe as an attention-seeking curve-ball like this and he makes me angry. I wonder if he really beleives this, or is just writing something deliberately provocative because he is contractially obliged to provide periodic copy to the Daily Mail.

Right, so we do have a bit of history in playing all-white in the away kit. But the home kit just sticks out as completely wrong. Was surprised to see the 3rd kit back in 1980-84, never seen that before. The home and away kits from that time just so stand out as classic kits, really dont understand why the club doesnt want to re-use and update the design. I know the Pony tick is not a popular design, but MLT performed so many of his greatest feats in that kit that it has to go down as a classic. Why are there 2 sock colours against last year's away kit ?

Yeah, I read that at the time. Currently re-reading HMS Ulysses - greatest book of all time.
