  1. How convenient. Not that it will affect how much SFC gets.
  2. Good moves if Schneiderlin is really on his way.
  3. A truly ridiculous analogy.
  4. Seeing as I have been infracted for comparing someone to Alistar Campbell (a henious crime I know...), I certainly hope you have done your duty on that post and infracted the bugger.
  5. A curious mix. I can understand the no half season ticket decision. It probably costs a lot to administrate and they want people to committ to the whole season. However, what is then somewhat odd is penalising those new ST purchasers compared to existing in that case. I wonder if somebody had a half season ticket last season, this would be treated as a renewal ? The no purchase plan decision is definitely odd. I can only think the cost of administrating and the overhead is far too big when compared to the amount that are actually purchased on the plan.
  6. Cobblers. Its been said a million times on here, and I think its time to draw a line under it and look forward. And I resent St Marco's latest tedious "you had to be there missive. You want to try being a 1000 miles away, stuck in a hospital whilst your son has surgery and your wife is at home with a risk pregnancy, totally cut off from news about the takeover when the last thing you heard before you went in was the Pinnacle bid going tits-up...
  7. Yeah, this post kind of looses its world-changing impact after the 5000th repetition / interpretation. Bit like "stairway to heaven" being played in a guitar shop. :smt015:
  8. Add to Sweden the likes of Romania, Eire, Norway...
  9. I see where you are coming from about Crouch (though the FIFA refs will blow against him whenever a defender backs into him because of his size he looks like he is holding) and also about Gerrard (I would drop the useless tw*t Lampard if Barry is fit), but your comment about Huddlestone is plain bizarre. And I maintain the worst player on display yesterday was Ashley Cole.
  10. I am not convinced by any of the current line-up for England. Japan went at them from the start, and made them look uncomfortable. Which is why I think any half-decent driven team playing with high pace and work-rate, such as Saints, could do them.
  11. Well he was cack yesterday.
  12. Fits with the Echo headline about AP looking for a midfield general.
  13. Its a possible partial explanation. But certain players are supposed to be fighting for their squad place, and others appear to be too comfortable in the squad. I am sure the squad will respond in SA, but with the same lack of oomph as yesterday, I reckon Saints in top form could have done them.
  14. Very nice. Will do for me.
  15. hehehehe.:smt038
  16. A disappointing post, considering that you are a mod/administrator and are supposed to uphold the rules on abuse and sarcasm.
  17. Erm, Japan scored all three goals.
  18. I was at the game; some of you dismiss my opinion about Saints for not being there, have a bit of respect for the fact that I was seeing the demeanor of the players off the ball. The attitude of the likes of Terry and especially Rooney was very worrying. When I said Saints could take the current England line-up easily, I meant on the basis of the performance yesterday, not what England did during qualifying or the players did in the PL. And I stand by it this morning; England were DIRE yesterday - couldnt string two passes together...
  19. I just got back from the game. England were f**king awful. They played like it was a training kick-about. The Chelsea contingent were lethargic and disinterested - Ashley Cole was utter dire. Lampard is a plank that will never recreate his league form for England; he is a latter-day John Barnes. Huddlestone is utterly useless, and Theo played crap. Rooney was playing so deep sometimes and hardly ran; he clearly isnt fit. I reckon Saints at their peak last season (Bristol Rovers away ?) could take the current England team easily.
  20. hohoho, very funnny. I think the strategy for ST pricing will be very indicative of NCs strategy for moving the club forwards.
  21. Does anybody know really why the f**king ST prices and kit unveiling are taking so long ?
  22. And to get into real Euro competitions too, seeing as most of the PL will be ineligible by the time we get back there... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1282136/Manchester-City-United-Chelsea-Liverpool-maybe-Europe-Real-Madrid-Just-UEFAs-new-finance-rules-mean.html
  23. Reckon you are right. The only reason he chummied up to MLT when manager here is because he knew how much SFC depended on him compared to the rest of the squad.
  24. It means I might be able to get the odd game...
