  1. I havent, hence my absence from here recently, but come on, why does everything related to our club have to reach the highest levels of circus performance ???
  2. Just because the period of exclusivity is 21 days, does it HAVE TO take 21 days ??? I really wonder about the procrastinating in British commerce sometimes...
  3. Happy for Crouch to be there in a non-exec capacity. After all, he at least lifted a finger to keep the club going in April.
  4. Why do we need to have a "voice" at all ??? If Illingsworth wants to stick his head up out of the trench and make comments than infer he speaks for a large volume of fans (sorry, they do come across like that, and after all he wormed his way in as the chariman of the Saints Trust after all), then he should expect it to be shot at.
  5. I despise Illingsworth, his attention-seeking and his self-appointment as the voice of the fans..
  6. Have to say, this is spot-on.
  7. Administration and new owners whose plans are still unknown Vs. Lowes continuing asset-stripping and a continunig withering death for the club Oooo. Tricky one...
  8. Bolllocks. 1. I expect the new owners and manager to do they own buying 2. I dont rate the players on their way out. Again, what is this super alternative we are ignoring in favour of Pinnacle ? Idiots like you were prepared to accept Lowe's asset-stripping to keep the club going, yet you have an issue with new owners doing the same. And you lecture about double standards...
  9. Yep. I am completely sanguine about this. The new board and owner will be painfully aware that as the deal goes through, they have to make an immediate positive impact to get people to part with their season ticket money. Let them do their job...
  10. As if we have the slightest bit of f**king choice of liking it or not. Its this or the club dying, so we should just embrace this buyout and keep our fingers crossed its for the best. This is not the spring/summer of 2006 all over again. THERE IS NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER. So maybe the likes of you and Johnny should shut the f**k up and hope it turns out for the best. Or am I mistaken and you and Johnny were on the verge of making your own bid ???
  11. Yep. You have to wonder what their motivation is....
  12. It made the amount that Pinnacle have to fork out to the administrators and creditors much less, and leaves the new manager with more funds to build his own squad ? I personally am quite happy to see a spring-clean of the cobwebs of failure. Surman was apparently awful at times last season, and McG is a lazy arse.
  13. I also think that Jackson has received an unjustifiable rough tide, but this was one of your less impressive posts, R.. I can only assume someone had got under your skin with their comments.
  14. Of course it does you daft sod. Another relegation next season under the old managment with no funds and cutting costs accordingly would have really killed us.
  15. Dont ever reach out for the moral high ground or sermonise about wit and intelligence again, will you ???
  16. I agree there is nothing worse than being negative for the sake of it. But then, I wasnt being negative for the sake of it. I saw issues, and one-by-one I saw them come true. I was saying back in the summer of 2006 we had ONE shot at promotion, and so it proved. I was predicting the mess of the 2007-2008 season after Burley blew thing for us the previous season, and so it proved. I also predicted the mess of this season and administration, and so it proved. The likes of SOG and Franks_cousin have and will put Lowe successors down because they really think he did a spiffing job and that things are bound to be worse. Before they have even done ANYTHING.
  17. "I was wrong" would have saved a lot of server space...
  18. Blimey. Someone on here with a bit of humility who can admit he was too made up in his mind. Never thought I'd see the day... Nice one Foxstone..
  19. I dont think we should dance on his grave at any point. He must have expended considerable energy and cost in order to try to put a bid together, and maybe that activity shook a couple of other interested parties out of the tree. He did SOMETHING, which may lead directly or indirectly to the club being saved from Lowe and Wilde. The man deserves our thanks, FFS.
  20. Nick, that is just complete b*ll*cks. Wilde has been the cause of 90% of the problems since relegation (I assume you mean the first relegation...)
  21. Choice between Marc Jackson and He Who Must Not Ne Hamed, I know which one I prefer.
  22. And there is where your little analogy falls flat on its face.... We are not going to test the probabilities and do this 10 times. We need it to work once, and it appears to be doing so. Yes, we've had a few weeks of worry and stress, but the club that emerges at the end of it will probably have been transformed out of all recognition from the steaming mess left by your Messiah. In which case, it will have been worth the temporary distress it caused. F**king deal with it and be grateful.
  23. One misjudgment compared to about 50 by He Who Must Not Be Named... Compare their relative business successes.
  24. Yep, lets slag off someone who tried to save the club
