I think my favourite bit is the young Reading lad who got through the bottom corner at 15 seconds, then realised there were no stewards between him and Swindon mush, so immediately turned round and ran back to safety. Proper naughty.

Nobody is saying the Israelis don't do anything bad. I don't condone a lot of what the USA does but I know who the bad guys were on 9/11. There are differing shades of bad.

The Israelis have been ruthless in the defence of their territory and have no doubt committed many human rights abuses in clearing settlements. What they haven’t done is gone in beheading children and shooting up music festivals with the expressed intention of killing as many innocent people as possible and instigating a holy war.

Not sure what all the fuss is about, seems like a nice bloke.

Well if you can’t score to save your life, I’d say a keeper making excellent saves is keeping you in the match. There were also numerous people saying he commanded his box well, came for crosses and kept a clean sheet. If he hadn’t saved those four shots on target, we’d have lost 4-0, it’s a shame Professor Hawking died and isn’t around to explain the maths to you.

Strange, I seem to be remembering it like a lot of people on this thread but you remember it however you like.

Both Grimsby’s goals were penalties although TBF he didn’t get anywhere near either of them. In fact I’d say he was a good 70 yards away from both.

Is our squad better now than when we lost in the playoffs?
Lighthouse replied to Ex Lion Tamer's topic in The Saints
That was one game, Kelvin had a regular habit of being beaten at his near post and his kicking was far, far inferior. Kelvin has Elland Road, Baz has Old Trafford, I wouldn’t judge either on one specific game (although losing 5-0 at Hillsborough has to be worth a mention). -
SAA looked pretty hopeless against a none too special QPR team. He hasn’t ‘gotta’ be anything at all, I don’t know where the idea comes from that anything else must be better than what we’ve got not.

I’m going to suggest that it’s the name which you find irritating, not the actual concept. If an expectant couple wants to get away for a short vacation before a sprog pops out and ruins the next 18 years, that’s not a bad idea.

Well, next time a keeper lets in an absolute howler against us, I look forward to you telling us all how wonderful Baz is, by default.

Man United away last year but I guess he was only up against Fernandes, Rashford, Anthony and Sancho. Utterly laughable that people are piling in on him after today. I guess we can add ‘other keeper has excellent game’ to the list of faults in Bazunu’s game.

We were completely baffled by that one too. Couldn't for the life of me see what it was for, from watching in the Kingsland.

They'll never in a million years do that, either weaken their own air defences or give a piece of kit as sophistocated as ID to Ukraine. They're terrified of it falling into Iranian hands, which it inevitably will if Russia capture one.

That was frustrating but sadly all to predictable. When had them on toast for the first 25 minutes, right up until the substitution. Second half, especially after we made the triple sub, we just looked useless. Everything was done at 1mph, we’d get the ball with space in front and just turn back inside, recycle possession, and politely wait for the whole Rotherham team to get back into defensive positions. Be badly need a decent striker, Adams and Mara are useless. As an aside, I hope the fan receiving CPR in the Itchen is okay, not a pleasant thing to see. I still find it astonishing that we need to stop the game and delay the second half for that. I swear we always used to have medics in the stands who could deal with situations like this, without the team doctor.

The stupidly low pace of the rugby WC. I don’t mind a bit of casual egg chasing but a WC should be games every three or four days for each team and a couple every day for someone, like cricket or football. I forget the rugby WC is going on half the time.

I don't want everyone to get too excited but NASA are planning to go to the moon within the next five years.
-
Nope, nobody is claiming that. It was a decent win against one of the leagues top teams, as he also achieved against City, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea, nothing more, nothing less. In fact most people don’t talk about that game at all, it’s only those who are obsessed with pointing out how ‘noddy’ it was who keep mentioning it.

Can we get that Leeds game from the mid-nineties, when Mark Hughes ‘scored’, replayed?
-
Who was it Salah scored against last year, when he was clearly offside but VAR allowed it because the ball deflected off a defender? That should never have been given but I don’t remember too many Scouse calls for a replay either.
-
If you’re counting cup games, didn’t Jones do both?
-
How’s that save percentage, that you’re updating after every game?

Nye Donald confirmed as our first departure, they've cancelled the last year of his contract to join Derbs. Can't say I'm particularly upset or surprised, he hasn't really pulled up any trees in the last couple of years.

Alderman and sheriffs to save Southampton's identity
Lighthouse replied to Stripey McStripe Shirt's topic in The Saints
Really? Come on guys, 'Wayne' FFS! It practically writes itself.
