Ah right, so there’s a ten minute vaccine which cuts all vehicle emissions by 90%, which people are refusing to take?
-
Perhaps some more good news is a slight increase in people getting their first jab. 37,000 is nearly the population of Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford getting first jabbed every day.

I can’t be arsed arguing over this. Dropping three days in a row is proof of very little, it’s a weekend. Apparently I’m the one too terrified to leave my own home, which is weird because I’m not the one on here continuously posting over and over and over again about the worst case scenarios thrown up by prediction modelling.
-
Someone is saying they’ve dropped three days in a row, as if that’s proof of something. It isn’t. They aren’t doubling right now, which is obviously good news, but they are up 67% on last Sunday, which is less good.
-
It’s the weekend, reporting is always a bit behind. Last Sunday we had 49,00 cases The day before we had 54,000 The day before we had 58,000 It was the same the weekend before that, and the weekend before that. But whatever, crack on.

Fog lights. If they were any brighter driving home tonight I’d need sun cream.

At the time Red Bull pitted and Mercedes didn’t, there was nothing in the regulations to implore them to end the race under SC. Merc didn’t pit because they didn’t want to lose track position, not because they thought it was guaranteed to end that way. I haven’t seen it confirmed anywhere that max used his brakes in Saudi, although I could be wrong. Both drivers knew what was going on there and wanted to be second going over the DRS detection. You can say it wasn’t fair but then then Max got taken out by Mercedes in Silverstone and Hungary. He probably felt like he had the right to fight a bit dirty to get his points back.

I’m with you on all of that but it’s all information based, rather than any action which can be implemented. It’d great to know exactly how many died ‘with’ or ‘of’ Covid, how many were vaccinated, what demographic, underlying health issues etc. but really it doesn’t change anything. It’s just good to know. I’m sure anyone who is treated for cardiac issues has their covid AND vaccination status checked and this information is forwarded up the chain. As of right now, I can only assume there’s nothing particularly to report. We don’t even know whether these people at football games were vaccinated or had any kind of cardiac event at all.

Patient 4. As much disdain as I would have for the other three, they all have chronic lifestyle issues which they need to change. Your point is valid, the others are a huge drain on the NHS but only one of them refused to take a 15 minute free vaccine which would almost certainly have kept him out of hospital. There is no vaccination which would have cursed obesity, alcoholism and nicotine addiction.
-
So, in all honesty, would you chose who doesn’t get treatment based on whether they smoke and have good loft insulation, not who is vaccinated? The logic of the question is that if we end up in a scenario whereby there are more patients than we are able to treat, somebody will have to make that call. Hoping that doctors don’t have to make such calls might not be good enough.
-
Excellent politic satire but not an answer. Who would you deny treatment to in that situation.
-
What if, after we’ve treated all the vaccinated patients who are clinically vulnerable and all the outpatient care for other conditions, we physically don’t have enough doctors, nurses and ward space available to treat unvaccinated patients? Who gets bumped then?
-
If anyone still wants to carry on the name calling, crack on. As for the actual topic; I’ve still yet to hear what people would actually do in this situation. I couldn’t give two sh*ts about sage models, obese people and loft insulation. What do we actually want the government and population to do? Bearing in mind we’ve already tried the my body - my choice approach where everyone can get the jab if they want to and if you don’t, it’s fine no bother. What should we be doing from now on?

This could be a cricket score. Well, a cricket score for Rory Burns at least.
-
Leeds could be on their way to another bottom spanking.

If it’s about what I want; I hate needles, I don’t want to get injected, I don’t like wearing masks, I don’t want to be locked down, I want to go to pubs and on holiday, I’m not in a demographic which is likely to get ill so… whatever. As far as I’m concerned we can all do what Tiss says; nothing and just crack on as if it doesn’t exist. That’s not really what it’s about though, is it.

Villa Burnley now off too. Just the evening game still alive for today.

I haven’t advocated for a lockdown at any point in the last 6 months. Quite the opposite, I wanted to go skiing in France in January. Not happening now though. We’re all hoping this is some benign mutation which just gives everyone a cough and a runny nose but right now it’s far too early to say anything definitive.

I’ve got my RYA1 sailing qualification, why should I have to pass a driving test?
-
The Uk reported it’s first covid case on 31st January and the first death wasn’t recorded until the first week of March. It’s too early to draw any conclusions yet, even in South Africa.

Ahhh, the old Lib Dem paradox. Like the chairman of Port Vale promising their fans they will never join the European Super League.

A family member who is a fit, daily runner and sometimes referees local football matches caught it last year. It didn't kill him but it wiped him out for months, he was too exhausted to do much more than wander around the house, even the stairs were a challenge. We don't think he has permanent respiratory damage but COVID is not just a question of death or he's fine.

Not seen it, no idea.
