Came straight back at Archer at an awkward speed, height and angle TBF, harder than it looked.

I’m not sure that’s really an issue, personally. I’m more concerned that there are three other CBs on the pitch at home to Swansea.
-
I’ve got to be honest, I don’t think anyone is particularly interested in this ‘random spin wheel’ persona you seem to be going for on every match thread.
-
The transfer business was fine, it’s the manager picking the team I’m concerned about. To be 17th with Boro and WBA’s best players sat on the bench is ludicrous. As many have said though, at least Manning is out.

It’s probably more to do with Donny’s ego believing its own hype after negotiating a ceasefire in Gaza. Never mind the fact that the USA’s gigantic economy and military made it something akin to Andre the Giant breaking up a fight on a primary school playground, Trump will now believe he’s some sort of expert negotiator. Obviously growing a pair of balls and fully supporting Ukraine would go against this delusion, so he’ll just sit their like an overripe satsuma telling both sides they need to be realistic whilst doing f**k all of any substance.

Who doesnt mind not getting promotion this season?

We don’t need a ‘complete squad rebuild’. Quite who you think we’d bring in as an improvement on the players we’ve got now, I can’t fathom. The likes of Edwards, Fellows, Azaz and Charles were some of the best players in the league at their respective clubs, last season. -
As has always been the case, Putin will view Trump with little more than the contempt he deserves as the most useful idiot in human history. He’ll string him along with fake negotiations, promises he’ll immediately break and demands he knows Ukraine never can or will agree to. Putin wants nothing more than to bog the US down in bureaucracy and the illusion of negotiation, in order to stall supplies of aid and weapons to Ukraine. There’ll be a whole load of hot air blown around, then Putin will claim somebody else violated some agreement and go back to what he’s always been doing.

Up there with Stephens’ red card against Chelsea for completely brainless, not even trying to play football, stupidity.
-
Still wanted decent wide players to play his system. We signed Jelert, Mads, Fellows and Scienza to complement Edozie and Robinson. If we start another game with Fraser and Manning as wing backs and don’t win, it’s really time to start worrying.

The last time we did anything other than lose a league game at AG, Pink Floyd were number one with Another Brick in the Wall. Given our start to the season, I’m not expecting that to change next week.

Hopefully he gets things back on track soon because lord knows his Only Fans is…. Let’s just say challenging.

TBH I don’t think that’s even unique to Nic. I’ve noticed a lot of people who, when confronted by an opposing opinion they have nothing to respond with, will simply post a confused or laughing emoji and say nothing. I take it as a seal of validity in many ways.

A win here and things actually start to look a bit better. 8 points from 4 games is the form we need to be at the sharp end come May. It’ll be interesting to see if the international break has been used wisely to sort out our formation and best XI.

I'm going to be controversial here and blame the guys who actually took the hostages.
-
I’m sure if we’d signed a player who had just scored three goals in a season in League 1, instead of Downs, this forum would have been calm, reasonable and optimistic about the whole situation.

Those are the facts. The seige of Lebanon was A reason, not THE reason. Bin Laden despised anything involving western, particularly American, involvement in what he viewed as Middle Eastern, Muslim afairs. They're an ideology, one which has been expelled from half of the countries in the region, and they have committed atrocities against civilians from many countries which were nothing to do with the seige of Beirut.

Sounds like you've got the wrong Ian Watkins mate.

WTF are you on about? Al Q and 9/11 weren't revenge for anything specific, they were based on hardcore Islamist beliefs and a hatred of all things western/American. If anything was the catalyst it was the Saudi's choosing American help in defending themselves against the Saddam regime during the first Gulf War, which OBL took as something of a personal insult and betrayal. More to the point, they haven't been capable of anything close to 9/11 since the US coalition went into Afghanistan and blew their arses into next Thursday. Much like the Israelis, they went in and made a hell of a mess but for the last quater of a century it's kept them relatively safe from large scale Islamist attacks. Kind of the opposite of what you're arguing.

On the subject of hattricks, Haaland has just banged in his 21st goal of the season after less than two months. Utterly ludicrous footballer.
-
He made a fresh start at a club at a lower level where he was likely to get regular football and score more goals, fair play to him. A couple of solid L1 seasons and he’ll end up back in the Championship anyway, as a first team regular.
