  1. I'm not buying the whole striker problem either. If Russell Martin, who's is apparently worse than getting a paper cut off a nude photo of Margaret Thatcher, can come fourth with Che Adams, then we can do a lot better than 20th with Cameron Archer.
  2. He was also hit by a pretty hefty injury problem in his time here. IIRC Niemi, Le Saux, Pahars, Killer and Oakley were out for a large part of his tenure.
  3. I made it very clear that I don't want to carry on like this. I want us to improve, like we did under Pardew, Martin and Poch after indifferent starts. For me, this coming week is last chance territory.
  4. I’ve never said anything other than that. I think seven points from our next three games is a very clear demand of a serious upturn in results. It’s very obvious that our team selections and substitutions are substandard and that we can’t carry on like this.
  5. I wouldn’t have been sad to have seen him sacked on Monday but since we haven’t, there’re now three winnable games in a week, which he needs to win two of to keep his job IMO. This is nothing like the Martin situation, with the players we have now we should be doing much better, whereas last season we were where we belonged. Mid November is about as patient as I’m willing to be without seeing improved results, personally.
  6. Hull? Our sixth league game and second defeat of the season. I’m glad you’re not running the club. For me there needs to be sustained improvement over the next three games or else he should be gone. Preston, QPR and Wednesday should be seven points, if not nine. Anything less and he’s not the man for the job.
  7. Neither him nor Alcaraz seem to be particularly in Moyes plans, they're usually late subs if things aren't going well.
  8. Perhaps they could commission a large mural of the ALDI in Millbrook at their training ground, to make him feel more at home.
  9. That video is very good evidence of why we're sixth instead of fighting for the top two. We aren't sixth though, are we?
  10. Hey, don't be so harsh. It's not their fault they can't afford a Russian.
  11. I missed both but I am going Saturday. Thinking about it, if we do win then the last two league wins I’ve attended will be against Preston.
  12. Where are you getting any of this from? I've not seen any statements from the club saying we're too big to go down.
  13. Yep, and all he needed was about 180 appearances over the course of six years to start looking decent.
  14. It goes without saying that we’d be better with Ramsdale in the team, so the fact that he isn’t points to the fact that it wasn’t feasible to keep him. That’s probably a combination of having to pay Arsenal wages in the Championship and the likelihood that we had a gentleman’s agreement hat he could leave if we got relegated. In any case, it’s no excuse for our form at all. However you want to dress it up, Martin got promoted at the first attempt playing Bazunu and McCarthy. Unless you want to admit that he was an incomparable, god-like footballing genius, and I suspect that you don’t, Still should be able to match or better that achievement.
  15. We would possibly have picked up a couple of points against Bristol City and Blackburn but that's not the root of our problems and I doubt we'd even be in the top half. Ramsdale's wages are enormous, we were never going to keep him in the Championship.
  16. Incidentally, we beat Everton on November 2nd last year, so if we don’t win this one a 96th minute winner against Wrexham will be our only home win for a full, rolling year.
  17. Personally, I’d go with: Bazunu Mads Wood THB Manning Downes Jander Armstrong Azaz Scienza Archer Of course, this won’t happen. It’ll be five at the back, we’ll start well, miss a bunch of chances, then score, immediately panic and concede, then make five subs from 60-75 mins, end up with Armstrong as the lone striker and a bunch of ball recyclers behind and lose to an 82nd minute defensive howler.
  18. That would depend on whether or not he has some sort of underlying health issue, which we the public don’t now about.
  19. That's a lot of words to say, "No, because he sold Sam Gallagher."
  20. That’s a hell of a way to end a post telling me exactly how upset I should be and how I should react to it. SR haven’t had an easy ride. They’ve lost a significant portion of their income from failing to stay in the PL on two separate occasions. They care far more about that than a bunch of fans boycotting games, which will cost them peanuts in comparison. Like I said, stay away if you like, but unless you think we’re going to drive the club into administration with a boycott I’m not sure what you hope to achieve. Personally I think sacking the manager is a lot more likely, appropriate and sustainable.
  21. Never should have been sacked but that being said, I wouldn't go back.
  22. Boycotting is a massive over reaction, considering the amount of money our owners have just spent. The time to boycott is when you’re owned by the likes of Chansiri, SISU, Lowe or the Venkys. Don’t go if you don’t want to but expecting people to stay away on principle is wide of the mark.
  23. They do, for as long as I think they’re still trying. I don’t wish ill on any of the players, or even the manager. I just think he’s hopelessly out of his depth. I’ll start booing during the game when we have another Spurs at home scenario from last season.
  24. Which has never helped my team in the history of sports. Get behind the team during the game, let them know how we feel at FT, however that may be.
  25. I wouldn’t have their strengths down as five subs every game and going with Armstrong as the loan striker from 60 mins onwards. Were never going to know what they’re capable of under Still.
