  1. I think there's been a misunderstanding here, he's talking about Gabriel Jesus.
  2. Why can't we just leave Gregg alone and remember him for his music?!
  3. Looks like the Skates have been nicking copper wire from Rotherham.
  4. Our players dream of being mediocre.
  5. Nope. There are over 100 clubs who’ve been in and out of the football league over the past few decades. All of them, with the exception of the six, have had to play outside of the PL for some period of time. If a club our size can’t financially cope with relegation then something, somewhere has gone badly wrong. As much as I dislike Lowe, that was not on his watch.
  6. He’s the (main) reason we went down, not the reason we went into administration.
  7. Nothing to do with that mentality put us into administration. That happened because after two unsuccessful promotion attempts we should have sold our expensive players and started again. Instead we went out and bought a load more expensive, older players on big wages. That summer of 2007 was an absolute sh*t show. The whole inferiority complex about how only small minded Southampton fans are happy just to be in the premier league and how it’s such a great honour to sell our best players to the big teams is complete nonsense too. I know Turkish is only posting it for a wind up but weirdly, a whole bunch of people seem to be taking it seriously. Our league performance roughly corresponds to our fan base catchment area, same as 95% of the football league system.
  8. A few decent, local games in there. Man City - Salford Liverpool - Accrington Leeds - Harrogate
  9. Winnable home game, hopefully decent ticket prices.
  10. Arsenal vs Man Utd 😂😂
  11. First out - Swansea at home.
  12. I'd say having to sit and listen to Vic Reeves every week.
  13. I’m sure we’ve been drawn away to Palace at some point in about 5 of the last 10 seasons, might as well get that out the way.
  14. Apart from all the different formations he's tried.
  15. I'm starting to think that may not actually be our entire strategy.

    Russia

I would imagine that with Russia’s military being largely tied up elsewhere the rebels are trying their luck against Assad’s forces. Neither side seems like a particularly pleasant group of people, if we’re being honest.
  17. As poor as we've been for large parts of this season, we've put in nothing so bad as this West Ham performance. Edit: No sooner have I posted it than they score twice.
  18. They basically check everything if there's a goal. Archer was marginal, Armstrong clearly off. Why it took so long I've no idea, I took one look at it and knew the latter was clearly offside and interfering. You didn't need lines for that.
  19. I wonder if that might have been a tactical booking from Dibling at the end there, in order to be suspended for a game we'd have rested him for anyway. Probably not but stranger things have happened. I'm guessing Wood may be called upon for this one, which is going to be fun against Chelsea, behind a makeshift midfield and in front of our fourth choice keeper.
  20. And people were aggrieved by it, which is my point. Both should have been disallowed.
  21. Obviously that’s not the case, if Armstrong had been offside by the corner flag or even just a couple of yards the other side of Archer, the goal would have stood. I reiterate; if that goal is given against us, every man and dog on this forum is screaming, "how the f**k is he NOT interfering!"
  22. Their keeper positioning himself to save a potential shot from Armstrong impacted his ability to save a shot at the far post.
  23. I thought they checked Archer first because he was the scorer, then worked backward in time from that. Either way, that’s beside the point. Assuming you’re correct, all that means is that without VAR the goal still gets disallowed but for the wrong player being offside. How does that improve the situation?
  24. How do you know that?
  25. Decent performance overall, much better in the second half and the subs looked pretty good. Individual errors costing us another win though, Archer missing a sitter, Suga going to sleep for the first, Armstrong needlessly being offside for the disallowed goal. All things you don’t get away with at this level. Still, a decent away point. I’ll take that.
