  1. The problem with that is that 346 days a year, there’s bugger all going on at St Mary’s and the buildings would just be sat idle and not making any money. It'll be flats eventually, although I think I read somewhere that it’ll take years for the site to be naturally decontaminated.
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c206zm81z4gt If only there had been a good guy with a gun there, this could have been prevented.
  3. Lighthouse

    Russia

Flights operating normally now but f**k knows what the Russians are trying to prove there.
  4. Speak for yourself. In all my years following Saints, there have been two goals I was present for and absolutely lost my bananas celebrating. Rickie at Fratton and Gabbiadini's equaliser.
  5. Just looked at the BBC score page to see if we'd bowled them out yet. Not only have we bowled them out, we're now seven down in our second innings. I can only assume they've had the rotivator on the wicket instead of the roller.
  6. I really wouldn’t judge any group of people, be they Pompey fans, general football fans or otherwise, based on anything posted on social media. Stuff like that just isn’t worth acknowledging.
  7. We would not.
  8. Looks like we're off to Edgbaston again.
  9. An absolute yard sale in the power play, I've not seen us bat like that in a while.
  10. That might be the best freudian slip I've ever seen.
  11. I agree, both would be a better signing than Gaston IMO. Rodwell is a determined, up and coming, focussed young player who I'm sure will only build upon his excellent performances for Everton and prove to be great value for money. Johnson seems like a really smart, switched on, decent young lad, with a good set of morals and a bright future ahead of him. If we sign him, that's our midfield creativity sorted for the next 10 years at least.
  12. I am going to suggest that you're in for a thoroughly miserable season if you've been upset by anything Bazunu has done so far.
  13. Three of those were either free, academy or signed for less than £1m. ABK looked like a decent deal for a club like ours. He had the talent, just not the application. There are much worse examples of our recruitment than those four. Lyanco, for example.
  14. Two if you include cup games but the point stands.
  15. TBH it’s about as good as I could have realistically hoped for, on paper at least. I’ve not seen enough of some of the players but they at least come with glowing reviews from their own fans, in leagues comparable or better to ours. Seeing the long list of absolute garbage which has left the club is also hugely satisfying.
  16. We’ve got Superdry and big Tesco. No brainer.
  17. I told you last week, I’m not sending those until you subscribe to my Platinum membership.
  18. I’ve no idea why anyone would expect another striker. We’ve already brought in Downs and Stewart, Archer and AA should have more than enough goals in them. Those are four options as good as any in this division.
  19. What a sad bunch of tw*ts. I wear fish net stockings, a coconut bra and a cycling helmet, like a real man.
  20. It really is astonishing that we’re signing better players for a championship campaign than we did for the PL a year ago.
  21. No, you misunderstand, I'm simply applying Bazunu standards to goals AR has conceded. I think if you use AI to super impose Bazunu into that video and play it back, most of the people on this thread would be wailing about how he's being beaten time and time again by low shots from outside the area, let in a header which was nowhere near the post, then spilled an absolute howler which went straight through him. Baz has already made an excellent save against Wrexham which earned us our only win of the season.
  22. Well, here's four which spring to mind for starters, people just have different standards because of the perception that Ramsdale was too good for us and we didn't deserve him. He doesn't get the same level of unjust criticism, just like Raya gets none for his absolute howler against Liverpool today.
  23. Interesting that you’d post that about BBD, who didn’t really do anything wrong other than being out of his depth, but not ABK, for whom playing for Saints seems to have been an inconvenience to his weekend plans for three years.
  24. Good luck to him, was a bizarre signing and never looked a PL player. Hopefully he has a decent loan and earns a permanent move somewhere.
  25. There’s a lot of recency bias in that statement. He may not have been a PL player but I’d have BBD up front over Nicholas Bignall, Matt Patterson, Jamie White or Vincent Pericard, and that’s just in his position.
