Without wanting to turn this thread into a political mud wrestle, you can be fairly confident a conservative PM isn’t going to sit there and let over 70s die if he can help it.

I’ve enjoyed the games I’ve been to but somehow we’ve managed to win all of them (at it looks like the seasons going to end that way). On the flip side I was off work when we played Leicester, Burnley, Newcastle and Chelsea but chose not to go because it’s such an irritating waste of money.

TFFT! I think I can just about tolerate them winning the league if that’s where it ends. No invincibles, no European glory, no cups, doubles/trebles etc. Just a bog standard league win that someone achieves every year.

I’ve been taking the train to the Alps whenever I’ve been skiing for about 5 years now. It was never intended as an environmental stance but that is an added bonus.

Okay, split thread if you must discuss it again. As Whelk says, you’re not really getting the vibe of, ‘small things in life which bring you joy’. The smell of fresh silage, a cuppa tea and an egg custard, a bored housewife sitting on the washing machine. They’re the kind of light hearted pleasures we were after.

Doctors much better informed of the circumstances than you or I will have had their say in this. There must be some reason in the finer details and tomorrow's game could yet be cancelled.

Does the 1.5m rule include hairdressers?

TBH I really can’t remember all that many people ever actually criticising him for being lazy. That’s never been the accusation, more that he has a poor attitude towards team play. He often looks like he’s playing for himself and by the time he’s shown everyone he can beat a man, 6 more have got back to defend. There’s no excuse to slate him, he’s just not actually done anything since she’s been here. A couple of screamers against crap teams when he first signed, that’s about it.
-
No, he doesn’t. Nobody deserves credit for simply ‘putting a shift in’, that’s the absolute bare minimum I’d expect from any player. That’s how we’ve ended up in this mess, crap players like Long and Boufal who ‘put a shift in’ are seen as being worthy of praise, when in their actual role of setting up and scoring goals they are terrible. Armstrong puts a shift in and is good. We are a noticeably better team with him in it, as we were with Stephen Davis. As a team we’ve put in many awful attacking performances with Boufal on the pitch.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m
Lighthouse replied to The Odd Guy's topic in The Saints
Things were hardly great in 2009 either but for some this could be seen as an opportunity. Perhaps Gao will want cash quick and be willing to sell to a relatively low bidder. All hypothetical but the financial situation is not necessarily doom and gloom. -

It's both really. All we've been doing recently is signing Neil McCanns and Darren Kentons at 2019 prices. -
Don't forget Philip Glenister as the DCI trying to expose a cover up by the local council.
-
Ah yes the, "men are so shallow, they only care about what a woman looks like," brigade, who then spend £50 having fake eyelashes glued on because they've spent hours obsessing over some photoshopped pictures of other girls on Instagram, who've got more likes than them.
-
Don't forget the social media photos with the dog, butterfly or other sh*te snap chat filter.

Everton looking pretty awful.
-
What's possibly worst is that in 4 years we've probably had 5 decent, convincing wins at St Mary's. This year - F**k all. Even against Villa we we're only 1 goal up until they sent their keeper up for an injury time corner. 4-1 vs Everton under MoPe 2-0 vs Fulham and 3-1 vs Wolves last year 3-1 vs Burnley and 3-0 vs Leicester under Puel The rest has all been hanging on by the odd goal.

As opposed to the Chinese investment banker club, the arms dealing Sheikh club, or the American sports conglomerate club? -

I do for starters, even if it’s behind closed doors. -
I think he could do a decent job playing up ahead of Ings. About 300 miles ahead of Ings... in France.
-
He has been for the last 2 months.
-
No, he's injured.
-
The one who’s been injured for a few months and will be fit for at best 8 games, clearly doesn’t want to be here and when he was was usually a liability against any kind of height, defensively?
-
That’s true, if it wasn’t for their passionate fan base, Ashley would still be in charge.
-
Really starting to regret not signing one of those world class RB, teams were practically giving away in January. Would definitely have prevented Djenepo from being sent off. If only I was as clever as Turkish, I might have seen this coming.

TBH nothing hurts any more, it’s just so so so predictable it’s gone well beyond boring. I don’t care what McC did today, he’s still the best of three pretty poor ‘keepers and his saves don’t change what happened at West Ham.
