As a mathematician you must live under the constant terror of a meteorite landing on your head. We are safe and have been since we beat Palace in January. In fact we could have lost EVERY league game since we beat Leicester on January 11th and still be outside the relegation zone.
Anyway, Reed playing well. My concern is he’s just a very good Championship player and the number of those slowly creeping into our squad is a worry. Also think Fulham will find themselves without Mitrovic for half their run in, which won’t help.
We won’t need anything like 40 points to stay up this season. 33/34 will be the cutoff. 4 awful teams are not going to 10 points more than us in 7 games.
A chance to see if Austin can get off the bench for West Brom tonight. No, I mean literally, lets see if he's physically fit enough to stand up from the bench.
I know we need to rotate the squad in such a cramped schedule but why Ings and why Watford? We’ve got Man City at home next, which is a game they just won’t turn up for anyway. I’d play our strongest XI, with Smallbone in for Hoj and give the catering/media departments a run out against City. Plus Sunday should be cooler anyway.
McC
KWP - Vest - Bednarek - Bertrand
Smallbone - JWP
Redmond - Armstrong
Ings - Adams
Perhaps instead of all the pictures of Markus and Saints mosaics etc. We should have set out a load of pictures if Aubameyang and Saka running, in the hope that the rest of the team would have accidentally tried to pass to them.
Look on the bright side, they won’t get that 95th minute winner, ‘glorious goal when all hope was lost’ moment, that they will go on about for decades, like "that night in Istanbul."
He’s a Championship keeper who wouldn’t be in the team at all without Forsters complete loss of form. Like CBs, we’ve got loads of them but not a decent player between the lot.
