Scott and Smith are already becoming increasingly prevalent on Sky Sports and I don’t find any of them either charismatic or insightful. None have played at anything close to the level they are commenting on. If it was three players of the calibre that have just been sacked were replaced by three blokes who played for Salisbury City, I’d be similarly unimpressed.

I watched it more for the first three hours of discussion than the actual commentary. Whilst I agree with you in principle, if we’re away and I can’t go, or at home and so sh*t I just don’t want to, it’s not bad viewing for a lazy afternoon.

Shame, used to be a great show. The chemistry and blend of opinions with those three, Jeff and Merse was properly entertaining.

At least if it is a loan this season he can’t pull the obvious trick of being absolutely world class for two games against us and sh*te for all the others. On the other hand, that’d almost be worth it to offload him before Fulham realise he’s just a Poundland Pogba.

It’d be a massive improvement, as would ‘I Vow to Thee my Country’. I’m sure somebody can find a line or two with some tenuous link to slavery but they’re at least uplifting and inspiring tunes, if nothing else.

So your objection is based on the number of bullets fired, rather than the actual decision to shoot. Seven does seem excessive on the face of it but what if you’ve fired five and he’s still reaching for the inside of his car. You can’t make these one off judgements with no context. This is the USA, 9/10 times the guy really is going to get his gun.

What do you mean, ‘maybe’? It’s only an overreaction if you’re sat safely at home, nowhere near the incident, with the benefit of hindsight. If you live in a country where everyone is armed up to the tits with machine guns and you’re dealing with a complete stranger, it’s probably quite a reasonable reaction. 9/10 times, if someone ignores a Policeman pointing a gun at them, he probably is grabbing a 9mm in the glove box.

I’d say any Intra-Balkan match would be pretty heated as would Russia vs. Poland or Ukraine. The Turks and Greeks are always colourful when they get together too.

TBF each of them is worthy of a statue given their impact on City’s history and the honours they’ve achieved. If they’d contributed exactly the same but one played in the sixties, one in the eighties and one in the nineties, nobody would be batting an eyelid at them erecting a statue.

Nothing horrendous in there really. The toughest run, as you say, looks like November 21st - 2nd Jan when we have trips to Wolves and Arsenal with City, United and Liverpool at home.
