  1. If they weren’t after £42 for tickets which are normally about £32, they might have more luck.
  2. This basically. He doesn’t exactly represent value for money these days. I’d rather take a chance on someone younger who could be the next Mané or the next Moi but at least has the potential to be decent.
  3. Actually they've just been pretty poor in general, they just happened to play a much worse Huddersfield and Brighton away recently. Fulham is their only other away win since we played them back in October. Anyway, it is overpriced but it's not vital. For that reason I'm out.
  4. I still think Liverpool will win it, City will draw one of those games.
  5. I think he was fairly well known for his unhealthy diet, even when he was here.
  6. Here's a stat, we've taken the lead in 15 out of the 22 games since Ralph took over, so we're doing something right. Interestingly, thats exactly the same number Liverpool have WON from their last 22, so if we'd hung on to those leads, that's where we'd be. I think it's just something we have to accept as part of our game plan. We will go out hard, early and get early goals but we can't sustain that for 90 minutes flat out. I'd rather that than Brighton, sitting back and trying to bore the opposition into complacency.
  7. Boxing Day I think but I'd still start him for this one, his inter play was key against Wolves. I'd try a 4-2-2-2 Gunn Valery - Yoshi - Bednarek - Bertrand Hojbjerg - Lemina JWP - Armstrong Redmond - Ings
  8. Just to be clear, if we can scrape a draw against Huddersfield, Cardiff will NEED TO WIN at Old Trafford. That's if our other four results all go perfectly in their favour.
  9. Oh well. Still staying up. What's the Premier League record for minutes of a game lead, without winning it?
  10. Sims? He's the last player I'd bring on. Lemina for Romeu and Valery for Stephens IMO.
  11. Please get Romeu off, next foul...
  12. TBF, we could be 3-0 up and I'd be thinking about Leeds and Tranmere.
  13. Can we declare?
  14. He's off the f**king chain!
  15. Who else is there, really worth having? Moi or Gallagher would be a waste of time.
  16. Not sure what to think about that. Pleased to see Armstrong and I'm assuming Ings, Lemina and Valery are not quite there in terms of fitness. Ramsay didn't look ready in the brief glimpses I've seen of him. The main thing for me is that he has dropped Sims. As good as he has looked personally, we have been swamped as a team whenever he has been playing. He has played exactly half of the last 3 games and we've conceded 5 of the 7 goals when he was on the pitch. Not what you need away from home.
  17. If you read the comments on the internet, 9/11 was an inside insurance job, orchestrated by mutant, Russian, space Jews. I doubt any current Saints players read or are aware of the comments on here.
  18. You don't. Life can be appallingly cruel to people who usually don't deserve it.
  19. ‘Boo boy’ is usually just another way of saying most people agree he’s substandard. Like Jermaine Wright and Chris Makin. Under Puel we played incredibly low paced, defensive, possession football, which flattered our defenders because we never committed enough men forward to leave them exposed to anything. He’s much the same as Ben Gibson at Boro, who everyone was raving about but now can’t get into Burnley’s team. The one time he did they shipped 5 at home to Everton.
  20. We’d also won 4 out of 6 before this weekend and the 2 we didn’t were Liverpool and a narrow, probably underserved, loss at OT. Performances under other managers aren’t relevant now, under Ralph were a mid table team.
  21. Yes. Cardiff are two games behind us with only three games left. I can buy Cardiff beating Palace AND Fulham AND taking a point from OT, whilst we lose our two away games AND only draw at home to Bournemouth and the worst Premier League team for over a decade. Honestly I can just about stretch to that (staying up on GD) but anything more is pure fantasy.
  22. Presumably this also applies to Palace, Cardiff, Bournemouth and Fulham, who will all replicate this weekends form in their remaining games?
  23. I’m going to say that if Brighton beat Newcastle, they will stay up. If they don’t, Cardiff will.
  24. Colin’s going to love that. Not sure what Nev’s on about, blatant pen.
