Why? Far better than a trip to Brighton, Bournemouth or West Ham.

Couple of all PL draws in that, also a couple of PL teams against strong Championship sides, which is always good for progression chances. I’m indifferent to our draw.
-
I don’t think it was anything to do with that incident at all. His confidence was blown by being signed to play in a league in which he was hopelessly out of his depth. I know he once scored six goals for the Blades but he is clearly not a PL player. Playing in an awful team which was losing every week just compounded things. Theres a decent Championship player in there, clearly. Perhaps a loan would do him some good.

To my grave I will swear Pelle scored a hattrick in the 8-0. Bridcutt o.g. my arse.

True that, fair point. I'll always maintain that ANY cup win will do, just get into the next round, that's all that counts. Even our run to Cardiff in 2003 included a stoppage time equaliser in a dreadful home performance against Millwall.
-
At the risk of being anal, last season we made it as far as a QF at Anfield. However, as you say, any win is clearly an improvement on the Gills game, or even that dreadful Grimsby game in the FA Cup the year before.
-
It's not that odd really. My GF frequently tells me she's not sure whether it's gone in or not.

He struggled to make an impact in the Championship two years ago. He didn't go from that to PL standard in half a season on loan at Wednesday.
-
Having had a quick look - '85 and '88 but it's actually ridiculous the number of late goals when we play Millwall. 2003 - K. Davies '90 2006 - Fuller '90 - BWP '90 - DMG '90 2010 - Trotter '90 - Lambert '90 2012 - Henderson '86 - Feeney '90 - Lambert '85 - Lambert '88 2014 - Pelle '90 2023 - Fraser '90 Considering we've only played each other in the same division for four years since 1990, that's pretty damn weird.
-
It’s second only to AM if you ask me, I don’t rate either of our current options, especially in a four.
-
Millwall away in 2012 must be a contender, although I don’t remember the exact minute of the goals.
-
That's probably about as good a line up as I'd ask for. It suits the players we have available, with the creativity coming from the WB. I do prefer a back four but RB and AM positions are a bit of an issue until we get some players in.
-
It was a silly way to get out too, all we needed was to keep it ticking at a run a ball and he chips one up to mid-off. It's just not going for him this season.

A shame if true, he looks a useful batter in both CC and ODC matches.

Apologies, I thought someone had said you were an alternate login of our resident, foul mouthed TV chef Turkish, although I can't honestly remember.

The worst thread... ... In the world?

You did send me that PM about 'beef f**king stroganoff'.

Yes, but if I split something in half AI will presumably infer that I am Paul Daniels or Ron Jeremy.
-
I believe his contract also entitles him to a quartet of Uruk Hai prostitutes. That's four more Mordor whores for Moore.
-
I don't mind it. If the mainstream media is more focussed on a competition that will get more kids into cricket, that's not really a bad thing. The Hundred is a gateway drug to hopefully get them hooked on real cricket.

Surely your new tier should be called the Chris Makin tier, or the Jon Otsemobor tier.

Are Stills hands tied regarding Stephens and Bazunu ?
Lighthouse replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
A significant number of players have been brought in, not made much impact and been moved on for whatever money we can recoup for them. We never told Russ or Juric they must play Edozie, Larios, Mara or any other player, so I fail to see any reason why we’d do that with Still and Bazunu. More to the point no credible manager would ever come here if they were told Rasmus, or anyone else, would be picking the team over their head. Five consecutive managers have decided Bazunu is better than McCarthy, to me it’s pretty clear why. Some people are going to have to get over their fantasy of only getting promoted because of the former being injured. Likewise Stephens, he’s been picked more than enough times by various managers, going back to Claude Puel. He’s clearly competent enough to be an option in the Championship, even if he shouldn’t be starting PL games. -
This window was always going to be heavier on the outs than the ins, with the squad we came down with. Two or three more signings before the end of August probably feels about right, so I don't particularly feel that we're behind schedule.
