I don't think 'inbred' is something you can aim at people on council estates. If anything, that's something you would aim at the upper classes and royalty who generally marry into wealth and privilege and all seem to be distantly related to each other. If there is a stereotype associated with council estates it's probably people being mixed race, which is about as far from inbreeding as you can get.

Morgan isn't the be all and end all of our team. We were by far the better side against Man Utd and we were good for a point at the Emirates until Toby got injured. Did we really play any worse yesterday than we did at Villa Park? If that penalty goes in, Burnley start chasing the game, more space, leaves them open on the break. We could easily have taken 7 points from the last three games, no fluke. I wasn't at the Man City game but from what I've heard we were outplayed in both halves. He is an excellent player and he has been missed no doubt but for me the poor form of Pelle and Tadic has been far more of an issue. It's not as if the midfield is struggling to string three passes together, which surely is Morgan's forté.

Yeah but if you're going to lose a game, that's the way to do it. I'd much rather have the lions share of the possession and chances, then cock it up when it comes to shooting. It means we aren't far off putting in a decent performance. Imagine playing like Man U did on Monday but without RVP. A misshapen defence a midfield giving the ball away hopelessly and the whole team being generally unable to string three passes together. That would be much more alarming.

Sadly it's still a small part of football. Get 20 or 30 000 people together and you will always get a few meat heads trying to prove their superiority by braining each other. Hopefully your son doesn't get put off going to games because of this.

What's with this tidal wave of hindsight against Tadic's penalty? He scored one against Arsenal, he probably takes them quite well in training and yet you are all saying he should have give it to someone like Pelle or Toby who you have never seen take a penalty. No doubt if Toby had taken it and skyed it into row Z it would be all, "why didn't Tadic take it FFS! He scored the last one!"

All teams go through patches of poor form. Obviously this was a disappointing performance but we are still 5th and will still be there until next week at least. A definite need for some more fire power in January I think.

Man City are the only team who have outplayed us comprehensively. Things aren't going well at the moment but form is temporary. We are still 5th unless Arsenal score a shed load. Europe is on the cards, so is a cup final and we've got a chance to go shopping coming up in a couple of weeks.
