  1. Very good news. Puncheon can be inconsistent but when he's on his game he is unplayable. Well worth having in the squad. Wonder if it was printed on bog roll.
  2. The toughest approach used by regular large jets I can think of is Toncontin, Tegucigalpa. A truly hair raising approach and a short runway at the end of it. The touch down aiming point is the 2 big white squares. This guy technically touches down before the designated threshold of the runway and slams on the brakes. With good reason too, several aircraft have gone flying off the end of the runway including an Airbus about 5 years ago which lead to the airport being shut down until a chunk of the hill could be dug away.
  3. I just wish they had half-built that stadium. Cleared the land, put in the foundations, built up a huge steel exoskeleton... then nothing. The money stops and we are left with an eternal, useless and very expensive monument to Pompey's truly spectacular fall from the heavens of English football. Half built and abandonned like something out of Pripyat, an almost poetic beauty to its grandeur and loneliness. No need to bury a Saints shirt under the pitch or have a greyhound p*ss on the corner flags or any of that none sense. We can all just stand around on Sunday afternoons, lighting candles and cheerfully laughing or tits off. Sadly it was never to be.
  4. Proving your worth against Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Everton isn't enough to get you in the England squad. You need to prove yourself in the Champions League against the true greats like Panathinakos, Cluj and BATE Borisov.
  5. Stop .............. TYPING .... like a complete............. Melon
  6. Whereas what actually happened is 2 or three poster amongst the couple of thousand registered on this site posted something a bit stupid and others also expressed their doubts about whether they are good enough. Sadly not everyone on this board but well done you for pointing out these faults. From now on I shall consider you more intelligent than other, inferior posters.
  7. I'd imagine this guy is now moving a fair bit slower, in the direction of the job centre. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swSt8WcVBG8
  8. The spitfire flyby is pretty good but not as good as this one.
  9. This one is really disturbing, you have been warned. It was a Sukhoi 27 at the Lviv Airshow in Ukraine about 10 years ago. 80 odd people were killed and in the aftermath on this video you can see human body parts spread all over the airfield. Not pleasant but at the same time just gripping, like watching 9/11. [video=youtube;JpC-SSmUw_Q]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpC-SSmUw_Q
  10. Saints win Wigan win Villa win Three points above the drop zone with 30 still to play for and we are definitely safe. Wow.
  11. Fantastic! West Ham are getting dragged into this kicking and screaming.
  12. First goal, not a lot we could do. Unlucky rebound Clyne should probably have been better possitioned to stop the first shot. Second goal. Shouldn't have been a free kick, was offside but a wonder strike none the less. Nothing we could do about that, Shaw beaten for the header though. Third goal. Stupid from fox, why he had his arm up there I don't know. Fourth goal. Again stupid, no awareness from Fox at all, he could easily have let it go or turned away from the goal but hoofs it into Jos' chest instead.
  13. Harry wont be rubbing his hands over anything for quite a while, even if he beats us next week. 38 points is a fairly realistic points target for safety. QPR are 21 points off that so they need 7 wins out of their last 11 games. As bad as we were today, QPR were garbage against Man Utd. There was nothing in their performance to make them confident of getting a result at St Marys. Yes I know it was Man Utd but they weren't even in it. We made them work for it at OT a few weeks ago and deserved a point. QPR just didn't turn up at home and Utd cruised to victory in 2nd gear.
  14. Need a massive response and I think we should do it at home. If Taraabt has an off day or our defence keeps him quiet they seem very short of goals and ideas. Fonte in for Hooievld I think if fit. Oh and it's 'arry's first visit to St Mary's since he left to go back to Pompey so, you know... let's make him feel welcome and all that.
  15. If he is poor when he comes on, he isn't fine as back up. Good back up was Butterfield and Dickson when we were in League 1. Fox is awful at this level.
  16. Would have been delighted with 2 points from Man City and Newcastle. We've got 3 instead!
  17. Possibly because he was booked and we didn't want him to get a second yellow and miss the QPR game. Not a ridiculous decision, I just wish we had someone better to bring on than Fox.
  18. Are you genuinely suggesting that making up 6 points on Stoke is as likely surrendering 10 to QPR? QPR are dreadful, they've won 2 games all season. They will need to win 4 or the bounce JUST to get to where we are now. If we finish below them I will throw myself off the Itchen Bridge, whilst every journalist in the country is busy ripping his cock off over how Redknapp is the second coming of Christ. 10th is a realistic aim. No reason we should be looking over our shoulders all season. If we play like we did against Man City, we will beat the likes of QPR, Newcastle, Norwich and Reading in the next few weeks. We've also got West Ham, Stoke and West Brom at St Marys. No reason at all we can't win 4 of those 7 games and that's us safe on 39 points.
  19. Supposing we drew tomorrow that would leave us 5 points from 10th and 4 points above the drop zone. Pretty much in the middle with some awful teams below us and some average teams above. There's no reason to think we can't match the form of Norwich, Stoke and Fulham over the course of our relatively kind run in.
  20. Have gone off excessively sugary foods since I've grown up. Don't like stuff like icing if it's too sweet. I still like chocolate and stuff but these days I probably enjoy a decent, properly cooked, medium rare, seasoned, mature rib eye steak (with BBQ or pepper sauce) more than anything else. So much so that I'll fork out €20 a day for one when I go skiing.
  21. Readings run in starting to look very unpleasant now. They've bottled their first 6 pointer which puts massive pressure on their other 3. I really can't see any wins in their other games either, maybe Liverpool at home but the rest are all horrible. Relegation 6 pointers mixed in with trips to Goodison, OT and Emirates before we go up there at the start of April. Their comeback kings tag has been pretty much wiped out the last 2 games aswell.
  22. There is some garbage in the league this year. If we finish below any of QPR, Reading, Wigan or Villa I will be pretty disgusted.
  23. That's a decent set of results for us. Not all that bothered about Norwich, would have been nice. Reading spanked at home. Pog out for a month. QPR now well adrift and look hopeless Soul crushing late defeat for Villa. Sunderland lose. I'll take that.
  24. Norwich a bit of a bummer but you can't have everything.
  25. Thank furk for that
