  1. It wasn't a 2p it was a Euro. Apparently Man City fans don't need them any more.
  2. I don't buy it. Why couldn't she just quit?
  3. Flying from Bristol with Easyjet is £50 return for that weekend.
  4. Are they sure they didn't call George Burley by mistake?
  5. I've been watching this BBC sex scandal with keen interest. If Des O'Connor gets arrested my accumulator pays out.
  6. Spudgun sits right behind me, he doesn't wear much trendy clobber and he definitely doesn't have a poncey haircut.
  7. Is he that Argie Steve De Ridder they keep banging on about on SSN? Reckon he needs a new challenge, come on Nicola get your wallet out.
  8. It was a bit like when we brought Kevin Davies back from Blackburn. Shakhtar sold him for 25m euro and bought him back for 15m a year later. Tidy little profit. Rakitskiy is pretty regular for them and they're in the knockout stages of the CL (on merit) after January. Would be absolutely astonished if we managed to pull one like that off.
  9. Must have had some serious issues in her life before this happened. There's no way a sane human would top themselves because of a few days getting harassed by tabloid journalists. Everything would all have been forgotten about in a week without this.
  10. Well what else do you expect the club to do? Any criminal charges will be dealt with by the Police, not the club.
  11. Really doesn't fit that song. If anything Steve De Ridder's song fits his name pretty well. Na na na na na na na na Hey hey hey Luke Shaw
  12. Would laugh my tits off if it came out ginger.
  13. West Ham had 1 win in 6 before today and that was against a pretty crap Newcastle side. Chelsea had 1 win in 10 and have been playing playing awful since Rafa took over. 2nd half they were just dreadful. I wish people would stop banging on about West Ham.
  14. Yep. Saturday evening and the best thing I can find on TV is The Hunt for Red October on Film4 +1.
  15. Anyone who followed F1 in the days of Senna will know he was a dirty wotsit when he wanted to be and did things just as bad as Schumacher. He did however get a very raw deal from Balestre, the FIA chief who was practically in bed with Prost. Schumacher had no such problems, he was just dirty.
  16. I think we will need a couple more attacking players. We're very reliant on our current front 4, behind them there is little depth. Rod and Yukka just aren't there yet.
  17. Losing at Anfield is standard enough. Disappointing performance, it sounds like we were just tired from 3 games in 7 days. We don't have the depth in our squad to go making 4 changes. Rest and recharge because beating Reading is crucial.
  18. Chelsea were absolute gash in the second half. Fair play to the Hammers they played pretty well too but Chelsea were awful.
  19. No idea where you were sat but I was near the top of block 42 and all I saw was about half the people around me clapping and a couple of laughs when he was dancing. Most of the people who were stood up for the game had sat down. Maybe you are surrounded by a more excitable crowd to me but I never saw anything close to an astounded frenzy. People got more excitable over those two horrendous misses during the round the pitch relay.
  20. This has got to be a wind up, surely nobody can take themselves this seriously. It's a man dressed as a dog dancing like an idiot whilst half the fans were casually clapping along and occasionally laughing. The way some of you are going on about it you'd think it was like kids at a Punch and Judy Show. Just for the record, THIS is an embarassment to football, not a dancing mascot at HT.
  21. I'm not entirely sure the Beckham replica shirts fly off the shelves quite so quickly these days. He hasn't played for a decent team for 5 years and hasn't made an England appearance for 3. Who actually watches MLS? Who would care if he joined Southampton enough to spend £50 on a Beckham replica Saints shirt? He just isn't the world superstar in his mid 20's who signed for Real Madrid's Galacticos. The school boys of today will idolise the Messis, Ronaldos and Rooneys of the world rather than a player they haven't seen play for 5 years.
  22. That was pretty good. Loved the irony of a dog dancing to a song made in Korea.
  23. Didn't England do that in the 1970 world cup? Don't think I'd bring anyone off unless they're knackered, injured or it's tactical.
  24. True. It's feasible but I don't think it's likely. We've already tried having 2 groups stages in the CL but it was dropped because teams complained about fixture congestion.
  25. It would only take one extra knockout round to half the number of clubs, so it would be feasible. I actually quite like the idea as it seems most decent teams in the EL couldn't give a flying f**k about it and end up resting their best players for domestic league games anyway. If they were in CL with considerably more prize money at steak there might be more interest. On the other hand the group stages would be a bit predictable with only 1 or 2 decent teams in each one. No more groups with Ajax, Man City, Real Madrid and Dortmund. Instead you'd have Barca playing Maribor, Dnipro and Viking Stavanger. Not all that exciting.
