  1. Anyone who needs a 5XL shirt should be burned to produce energy.
  2. I'm not sure about the whole 21 thing. I think 18 would be a better age. Let's say Saints were in the sh*te right now, on a downward spiral towards the lower leagues... 2008 basically. This would clearly be a poor environment for a tallent like AOC to be plying his football. But for a Liebherr intervening, Alex could hypothetically be playing for a struggling League 2 side at the moment. Clearly it would be in his best interests to move under those circumstances. Perhaps the rule should be a player cannot leave under the age of 18, unless the club is either relegated or in administration.
  3. Not saying anything revolutionary on SSN. Just said he is only 17, done well and there is a lot of expectation. Wants Alex to stay, didn't seem that impressed with the suggestion of a sale and loan back agreement.
  4. Mushy peas - They are much like vomit as any food I've seen. Bear Grylls wouldn't eat them. F**king revolting.
  5. Wine and gravy. Seperately that is, althout I'm sure they're not great together.
  6. Best - Probably that warm, damp grassy smell on a sunny morning after it has rained over night. Worst - Probably just the smell of human breath, if you've had the door and windows closed over night. I spent the night on an overnight ferry from Rotterdam once, sharing a tiny cabin with 3 fat sweaty blokes. It was like waking up in one of Michael Moore's socks.
  7. To create fire.
  8. Plus the fact that not EVERY player is going to be a Bale or a Walcott. There will be plenty of players like Surman and Lallana who stick around and become very good first team regulars. If it weren't for very poor management and financial desperation since we left the Prem, we'd probably have 4 or 5 accademy players in the first team. Lallana, Surman, Matt Mills, Blackstock, Best, Sparv, Dyer. Even Fish Mills is better than a lot are giving him credit for. There were also players like Gillett, DMG and James who weren't up to the mark, but did a job in times of desperation. Without them we'd be like Pompey are now, not having two youth players to rub together and end up signing old has beens on silly wages.
  9. My experience is extended slightly because my flush doesn't work, so I have to send a bucket of water down to chase all the Yule logs out the U bend. Problem is I've got some stuff in my flat I'd rather my landlord didn't know about, so I can't really phone him to get it fixed.
  10. I've just bought the new shirt with 'Forecast' printed on the back, now they've gone and changed his number FFS! Being anal to the extreme I'd have given Chaplow #8 as he's more of an attacking midfielder. Interesting that 19 is left out. Perhaps we've signed someone, but we're waiting for the opportune moment to announce it (Friday for a bigger walk up on Saturday maybe). Wonder who it could be...
  11. Like the short sleave version although, as a few others have said, the sleaves on the long sleave version are a bit 'too much white'. Will probably buy.
  12. A bit cheesy, but this always cheers me up.
  13. I know you're incapable of grasping most arguments you don't agree with, but for the benefit of anyone else: Antonio is not Premier League quality and I'm sure most Premier League clubs could defend against him. However they would have to adapt their game plan to keep him quiet, which gives us an advantage. You wouldn't put someone old and slow up against him, like Le Saux in his latter years. He is likely to be inconsistent, brilliant against some teams and annonymous against others. Much the same as Theo Walcott scoring a hat trick for England one week, then going missing against West Brom the next (cue Turkish saying "now you're comparing Antonio to Walcott OMG I am so much e-cleverer than everyone else etc.")
  14. He is worth having, simply because he will cause ANY team problems with his pace and power. Even if we get a Man Utd or an Arse in the Cup, he will give them something to think about. I'm not saying he is a great player, but a fantastic option to have. If we're talking about £3.5m fees for strikers who got 15 goals last season, surely £250k for Antonio has got to be worth a punt.
  15. Le Fondre is worth a shot IMO. Wouldn't be as extortionate as the fees being quoted for CMS, Maynard, Sharp etc.
  16. Some of his worst performances came in central midfield though. Leeds away sticks in my mind as being particularly forgettable and I vaguely remember him being subbed on, then off again 20 minutes later in 1 game.
  17. Looking back at that team, it's a shame. I had high hopes for James, Gillett, Thomson and Paterson going into that season. I thought in an easier league with investment in some decent team mates, they would flourish. Sadly none of them really lived up to their promise, althout it was good to see Lallana and Morgan coming good. Murty should be a lesson to us about taking on aging players with dubious fitness. It just never works. P.S. Is it really so hard not to act like a w*nker on the internet? Look I'll show you how it's done... Please post insulting and provocative replies to this post and I will demonstrate the fine art of ignoring.
  18. Well, it's mostly because he's done naff all since scoring a dosen goals in League 1, 4 years ago. What you're basically saying is he wasn't wanted by Wolves, Leeds or the Blades, but being a 'target man' makes up for a goal tally Fonte would be ashamed of.
  19. Can someone explain to me why Sam Vokes isn't crap? I'm not quite getting it. 2 goals a season for the last couple of years. With Connolly netting 4, all we need to do is bring back Euell and Pericard and we might get 10 goals between them next year.
  20. Ah bugger. I know I dropped Marian Pahars down here somewhere.
  21. The middle name was supposed to be Sven, but there was a typo on the birth certificate. Christ knows where Harper came from.
  22. Some how a (then) 54 year old midget with a pudding basin haircut managed to fire these young ladies out of his man sausage. Jon Voight's daughter isn't too shabby either. And of course Hollywood Hulk Hogan....
  23. We were sat on the inside of Vale for the race. Great atmosphere and we had a perfect view of Massa's attempt to take Hamilton at the end. Was truly breath taking stuff as they both slid around the last 2 turns and there was a massive cheer when Massa ran wide and Hamilton got back past. It was also the corner where Button overtook Massa earlier in the race, which got an equally big cheer. I'd well reccomend it for a weekend if you ever get chance and haven't gone yet. I think for the first time ever in my life I was cheering on Alonso in a Ferrari. I just wanted someone other than Vettel to win and I have to say Fernando genuinely deserved it. It was a great drive. Hamilton drove a blinder too and had the crowd on the edge of their seats for most of the race. Such a shame about Button, Di Resta and Kobayashi. They all (the latter 2 in particular) had excellent qualifying performances ruined through no fault of their own. I'm a big Button fan, but he has never finished a race I've been to (this and Spa the last 2 seasons). It's even more gutting when you consider he's only actually had 4 retirements in the last 3 years.
  24. How about 6ft 2 his height is actual He wears the shirt of Rudi Skacel or not.
