Hang on a minute. It's one thing to say it was Dunn's own fault for drink driving, but quite another to wish death on innocent people like Knoxville. For a start Jackass is something of a niche market. Unlike most of the reality TV garbage these days, you can quite easily avoid Jackass by just not watching certain TV channels at 1am. Jackass is crude and silly, but it has never pretended to be anything otherwise and is decent for a cheap giggle every now and then. If it's not your cup of tea you can quite easily just not watch it.

Southampton vs Leeds - August 6th Now at 5:20pm
Lighthouse replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
We don't have a poor record on sky. People just seem to remember half a dosen crap performances over several years and act like these are the only results. As for not winning the first game, yes it's been a while but there are reasons for that. 2010 - Plymouth. Poor pre season prep and key injuries to Lallana and Lambert. 2009 - Millwall. Tough team on their way to promotion. We barely had a team to put out. 2008 - Cardiff. Tough away game, we were playing the kids. 2007 - Palace. Truly awful pre-season planning from Burley. Barely had 2 defenders to rub together. 2006 - Derby. Tough away game to a team on their way to promotion. Only conceded the equaliser in inury time. 2005 - Wolves. Redknapp really didn't build a decent team that summer and Wolves were a decent side. 2004 - Villa. Tough away game and Sturrock wasn't up to the job and didn't have the team's support. 2003 - Leicester. Away to a newly promoted side on a high. 2002 - Boro. They were a tough nut to crack all season IIRC. Can't remember back beyond then, but basically there's a reason for it. We might not beat Leeds, but then we might not have beaten them if we'd played them in March. -
This! Is wrong.

You can't really feel sorry for anyone getting into a car with a drunk driver. In doing so, you're agreeing with what they're doing which is just as bad. I think "Two men achieve Darwin Award Nomination" would be as good a title as any.
-
Saw him play alongside Killer against Swansea reserves in '09. Looked pretty average in that game. Probably on par with players like Jamie Hatch and Pulis. We're not missing anything. As others have said, reasonable in the air but with dodgy distribution.

As long as you stab me with a knife and not something softer (and a lot smaller) that's fine.

Yes, but in summer I sleep naked on top of my covers. Oh, and I scream in my sleep. Hope this doesn't bother you.

Just how many games do we have to win on Sky before mongs stop monging on about the "Sky curse". It seems like every time we win a game on Sky people ignore it. Then after a few good results we get one defeat and it's "ooooh the sky curse again". Some of our fans are a bunch of druids. There is no "first game of the season curse" either it's just a combination of tough away games and opponents being cagey and not wanting to loose. That and repeatedly awful pre-season preparation. I just hope he can still walk to the stadium after another couple of hours in the pub. -
Such a pointless waste. Drink driving is 100 stupider than anything I've seen on Jackass.

I meant Fish.

The problem is the players we've produced have often been too good for us to keep, mainly because we've underperformed so badly. I think if we'd gone up in '07 we could still have Bale, Jones and Baird. Surman and DMG left due to our second relegation. Dex, Best, Matt Mills and Cranie left mainly because they weren't getting games. We've still got Chamberlain and Matt Mills who look promising. Even Bart it could be argued, having joined as a 16 year old.

We have to be realistic here, our 4th choice CM in League 1 isn't going to get you into the Premier League. If we want to compete with the likes of Wham, Brum, Foxes and Reading next season we're going to have to do a lot better than Gobern. Good luck to him though, hopefully he'll come up with Udders next season.

It's good, but it's too complex for a flag. By the time it's been blown up to flag sized and waved around by thousands of fans, the crest in the background will be all distorted. Would be pretty good without the crest IMO.
-
My favourite too. A couple of suggestions I'd add are: 1. I don't think the picture of Markus should be touching the top AND bottom of the flag. Looks a bit too 'zoomed in' for want of a better phrase. Like watching a TV when the kids have been f**king with the aspect ratio. Leave a bit of space just above his head. 2. I don't think it needs the badge. It just clutters the flag and doesn't nessy-celery add anything. I think Kracken is p*ssing in the right hedge with that one above.

Championship fixtures released - Leeds at home first
Lighthouse replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Can probably get to 14 home games next season, so will be getting my first ST. It wont make much sense financially, but it's well worth it knowing I've got a seat reserved next to my mate every match and not having to queue/book everything before a game. Will no doubt need it to have ANY hope of getting a ticket to krap nottarf. -
Ayman al-Zawahiri appointed as al-Qaeda leader

Apparently he turned down the Villa job first. -
Dry side or wet side?

We played Bristol Rovers away in the first round of the FA CUP 2 years ago, the round before we played Naints away.

I know "he only won because he had the best car" is a bit of a cliche, but that's all I've ever seen Massa do. In '08 he had the best car, and Raikkonen was ahead of him until about 7 races to go I think. I'm struggling to think of a truly great Massa drive. Button - Canada '11, Brazil '09 Hamilton - Britain '08, Japan '07 Alonso - Imola '05, Korea '10 Raikkonen - Japan '05, Belgium '09 Vettel - Monza '08, China '09 I'm sure you could go through about half a dosen examples for most of the top drivers in recent times, but I'm really struggling when it comes to Massa. A good driver and well worth a few victories, but not really a WDC quality driver. A bit like Coulthard.
-
I never got how Massa ended up in a Ferrari at all really. Maybe its a South American marketing thing. He started his career being fairly average in a Sauber, then joined Ferrari and spent several years getting soundly beaten by Schumacher, Raikkonen and Alonso. The only time he has ever stood out was the second half of '08, and that's mainly because Ferrari had the best car and Kimi really didn't look interested.

Who Are Southampton's Biggest Threat Next Season?
Lighthouse replied to Deano6's topic in The Saints
Well, it would seem West Ham have nailed their colours to the mast. Spend big and get back into the Prem at all costs. Bit of a financial facepalm, but a great player at this level. -
Bentley would be worth a shot, if only his wages weren't prohibitive. Think he's a victim of Bagpuss and his "want that one!" shopping campaign. Every transfer window another Modric, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Van Der Vaart or Palacios turns up.

We're always gettin people in the lounge asking, "anyone been to XXXXXXX". What if we just had a forum where we had a thread for each country/city people have visited and people can add their questions and suggestions to that thread.
