  1. I do wonder when Broja's fit if we could try a more 4-3-3
  2. KWP the slight surprise but i assume Ralph thinks he is better defensively than Perraud. Assume Djenepo is injured, which is a shame.
  3. The big difference in trying to compare it to the poppy is that one if one weekend a year and the other is 365 days a year.
  4. Did anyone really expect to come out better off after new social care charges.
  5. Yeah seemed a terrible choice to chuck coach so quick, especially as she(they) didn’t have anyone lined up to replace.
  6. I can see the logic of people wanting to us to figure out a way to get one of best 11 players (kwp) into the team, given livramento has played further forward at u23 level. If they want to try it Away to Liverpool, which is a bit of a free hit and where our 10’s will be doing a lot of defending seems a logical place to experiment.
  7. If we're going to experiment with Livramento as a 10, personally i'd think Liverpool away might be the game to do so.
  8. If Djenepo's fit i'd like to see him on the left. Think Peraud will need lots of help against Sarr. If Armstrong's out, i guess Elyounessi is the most like for like option on the right. I'd prefer to see Tella there but he'll likely be on the bench.
  9. I did wonder if he had a knock coming off or was just exhausted on Tuesday.
  10. Excellent tonight. We’ve Missed a player who properly celebrates a tackle since hojberg left.
  11. Mccarthy has made several great saves this season, including one vs Chelsea in the league game.
  12. Wonder if we might try something like a 4-3-3, which could become a 5-2-3 with Romeu dropping deep Mccarthy Livramento Lyanco Salisu Perraud JWP Romeu Diallo Tella Broja Redmond
  13. Think heading it across was the right choice, just a shame the Saints player wasn't alive to it.
  14. If only Adam Armstrong was allowed to take all our penalties.
  15. Thought long was good off the bench today. Like to see his penalty again. Was it one of those that looks good because the keeper has gone the wrong way or is it nice calmness to get the keeper to go the other way and then roll it in the other side. Was hoping Lyanco might take a penalty. Feels like the sort of character who would thrive off such a situation.
  16. Really good performance by the second string. Thought Lyanco had won it at the end. Lyanco must be in contention to start at the weekend if he's physically ok. As for Penalties you can't afford to put penalties off target. Walcott's looked to be heading wide before Kepa saved it and Smallbone blazed out of the staidum. Oriel(down the middle) showing what you should do if you can't put it in the corner with power. Forster unlucky on the hudson-odoi penalty too, almost got there.
  17. Very good half but disappointing way to concede. Should KWP really have been defending that position. Lyanco looks so different to the calamity described from the Sheff Utd game. Could be a bargain. Ref is compoletely biased as normal vs big teams. Diallo booked for tug back, ok fair enough. Their player tugs back diallo, no booking.
  18. only got 10 men there. Has Stuart Armstrong got sent off before the game starts?
  19. That defence scares me slightly.
  20. Sure some conspiracy theorist will think Govt found all those people rushing to do open water swimming were left wingers.
  21. "After considering all relevant issues, including the freedom of choice of players, the board had made it clear it was imperative for the team to be seen taking a stand against racism, especially given SA's history." The South Africa board clearly didn't consider freedom of choice, otherwise they would have considered alternative ways of taking a stand.
  22. Never would have expected that. If playing a 5 he always seemed suited to wingback to me. So would that be? KWP Valery CB CB Djenepo
  23. Every fan will have their own view on who is the best available player for positions. This season generally he's been better at making changes since the Everton game, something which annoyed me too. This week was a slight regression as I'd have preferred him to have taken off Walcott 10/15 minutes earlier. Of the teams in our mini league felt we have had a good go at Burnley, leeds & Newcastle so far, with only Wolves being poor.
  24. Curious to see what shape we set up in. Wonder if we might go 5 at the back. Might suit the likes of Valery/Lyanco if he's thinking of rotating them in.
  25. I see Theo made Football365's team of the week.
