A relatively comfortable win with 2 academy players playing well and scoring, i'll take that Lots of the fringe players failed to impress. Long cemented his place in the starting lineup over adams. Don't really get the point of Danso if he's not here to be a centre back just send him back to his parent club. Slattery has really dropped down the pecking order considering last year he was starting and now he can't make it off the bench.

Well eventually we were going to be on the negative end of the atrocious VAR system on a tight call. Home to Huddersfield is the game you want that decision to go against you. No clue why Boufal one isn't a pen though. The guy comes through the back. Is that not as clear and obvious as the offside that they had to spend 5 minutes working out.

Can't see sense in cedric moving now for either party. He can take his time and sign a pre contract when and where he wants. Summer market is much better time for us to be buying a replacement.

Yeah was very much a fan of Stephens because he looked like he had all the attributes but felt all the switching off meant he'd run out of road at saints. Glad to see him bounce back. Long may it continue.

Yeah a left back cover on loan is surely the number one priority. If that ends up being someone with potential to be bertrand's replacement that would be a bonus.

I'll readily admit my faith in him wavered with some of his bizarre tactical choices earlier in the season. Happy to see us playing with more of a plan.

Are we able to send danso home and loan in proper left back cover?

As much as Armstrong is playing very well with the short turnaround wonder if boufal might come in for him.

Very good display all round. Nice to see obafemi showing his quality. Great intensity from jwp. Armstrong really impressive too but Stephens my mom. Didn’t put a foot wrong.

Absolutely fantastic today, had Abraham 8n his pocket. Hope he didn’t get concussion at the end.

Don’t see what about his treatment is weird. He played lots and was rather ineffective. The current front two have struck up a partnership. Obafemi with his pace has done ok in some away games so was turned to first whereas in the likes of the Norwich game at home Adams was given 13 minutes etc rather than obafemi.

Short term long is doing a job in the same way McGoldrick is for Sheff utd. His confidence in front of goal is gone though.

Can’t see us spending big on a right back in Jan when we have 2 nor is it likely genk would want to sell mid season. Revisit in the summer perhaps once Cedric has finally departed.

Don’t expect much, a couple of loans or such. Would expect some sort of fullback arrival and maybe an additional midfielder given the shape we are currently playing Curious to see what happens about the underwhelming danso loan too.

Good to see us both play well and get a result. Loved Stephens driving attacking run. If can just work consistently on the lapses of concentration he could be a very good player. Thought hojberg was generally good. Only real downsides for me were Cedric and long’s Finishing. Hopefully whatever is wrong with Valery clears up quickly so he can compete with Cedric for that slot.

Interesting to see what rotation happens. We can’t rotate fullbacks, I don’t think we should with cb’s or gk. We’ve only really Romeu or slattery as potential midfield options. If we’re going to rotate a striker i’d Prefer to see long rotated or the likes of obafemi. You could always take ings off early if the game is gone to protect him.

Hopefully we can repeat the Norwich/Watford games trick of finding a way to win.
