Yeah definite no to having broken wanyama back. I don't even think a defensive mid is the prime priority other areas of concern. -
Man City v Saints Build-up [League Cup]

I'd opt for something like a 4-4-1-1 Mccarthy (It's league cup and he should have been ahead of Gunn based on form anyway) Stephens (Tough i like Valery as a wingback but after an awful game and in a back four maybe stephens, but can't say i'm enthusiastic about the prospect) Vokins (With one left back who's suspended it's the perfect time to see if vokins can offer anything Danso (Deserves a game in his preferred position and the others hardly showered themselves in glory) Yoshida (Experience, had to pick one of him or bednarek) Boufal (Played ok this season, so might as well try and push their fullbacks back) Hojberg (Not many options, still probably need his energy) Romeu (Been our best player this season imo) Redmond (Our most talented player) Armstrong (Deserves a shot at a game not a 2 minute cameo) Obafemi (He's got pace, he's not shane long) Subs Lewis, Valery, Bednarek, Slattery, JWP, Ings, Adams -

I'm sure that would help the team immensely as they try and pick themselves up from Friday. -
We seem to be moving away from it being a contact sport. Mane literally threw himself to the ground again after brushlike contact.

At least before this weekend you could at least say there was a consistency to the VAR calls. Everton game was a mess from this regard though.

Because i’d like Us to play a left back and Bertrand is suspended. We need to see what vokins can offer, wed is a free hit. Valery had an instant impact last season when he had to be thrown in because of circumstance. -
Thought he was very good in the wolves game but very poor last night. Last night though i’m Not sure any of our players looked like footballers let alone league one ones. In the 532 i’d Persevere with Valery though in a back i’d Probably opt for Cedric. Certainly shouldn’t be loaned out or given up on.

Saints will buy at CB and FB, new DoF in a month, says Telegraph

Two more Carrillo’s incoming then. That’ll put us in great position financially next summer. -
Spending money in January that we don’t have seems nutty to me. Even bigger problems if we went down.
-
So Gunn reserves all his saves for impressing Ralph in train8ng and has none left for match day.

left Back is going to be fun. More out of position danso I guess. -
Last season he came in with enthusiasm, a plan and a desire to involve u23 to some degree. Whatever has happened behind the scenes, there’s little of that. I do feel we are getting to the villa/Sunderland situation where a relegation is coming at some point and is maybe necessary. If he’s up for the fight, keep him otherwise shake hands and move on.

It wasn’t double figures
-
Felt 2nd half the ref felt sorry for us. On a normal day bednarek would have had 2 yellows but he somehow escaped card free.
-
That was absolutely abysmal. When the going gets tough this team goes missing. Not sure Ralph can come back from that. Gunn is surely done for a while.
-
There’s zero leadership in this team.
-
We’ve taken off our only striker to bring on a center back. That’s hilarious.
-
Personally I don’t think it should be. There was height but not force. In the current enforcement climate they were always likely to just look at just the height.
-
Never in a million years would I want him anywhere near saints.
-
Gunn really is invisible in goal.
-
Valery having a very poor night. Once again while valery was to blame going to sleep, surely Gunn could have stayed taller.
-
How awful is Gunn. Suppose he’s happy he’s made a save even if it is embarassing
-
Gunn really can’t save anything even if it’s hit at him.
-
Terrible by Gunn again. To me it’s not a red either. There’s no force whatsoever.

Have you seen how many goals we’ve conceded recently playing 4 at the back?
