  1. Nice thing today is that he did his trick and tried to play the through ball. At times before you felt there wasn’t going to be end product. Nice to see firm captaincy by hojberg shutting down him on the free kick.
  2. Thanks go to andone. We were generally awful but off the mark. Think i’ll Have to revise my view that Brighton will get relegated on the basis of that. Djenepo and boufal both very positive off the bench.
  3. Really no clue why we seem to want to pass the ball really slowly with no movement. Playing a left back who is utterly lost in that position doesn’t help. Also is a strategy to leave Gunn to deal with dunk on corners cos we think he’ll be done by var regardless. Otherwise it’s a bit nutty. At least they have 10 men and we somehow aren’t behind I suppose.
  4. Agree completely.
  5. Not sure whether to laugh or cry at the likes of Ian Holloway.
  6. The changes to the laws in recent years have meant tackles have vastly reduced.
  7. Annoying. Should have had a real go at them before it was 2-0
  8. Depressing set up. Seems to be utterly playing 8nto Liverpool’s hands. At least yoshi is back.
  9. Given they are out of europe, wonder what proportion of his wages they'll be able to pay.
  10. Let's hope so(lallana & Lovren), would help create a very hostile environment.
  11. The inability to shift Lemina is the issue. Hopefully someone will buy before the window closes and it might allow us to relook at the position in Jan. While hardly ideal i think we thought with Danso he could cover Romeu if we needed a like for like replacement. I know people in the past have also suggested stephens for the role too.
  12. Has this round always been segregated geographically?
  13. The only difference is that Mccarthy/Gunn is going to have the saints defence protecting them whereas Adrian is going to have the likes of Van Dijk.
  14. Depressing listening to the view being espoused that there’s now virtually no chance of getting a result against the likes of Liverpool/city at home. It’s probably accurate but shows how atrocious the premier league has become as a competitive entity.
  15. Personally i’d Go with whichever depending on opposition. Against Burnley I thought a4 would be better and definitely 4 is needed against Liverpool.
  16. Agree if we are o get anything we need to press their fullbacks back, not sit and let them shoot us in the barrel.
  17. Vestergaard has an error in him(as yesterday showed) but he’s an ok squad option. Don’t agree with view that he doesn’t win aerial duals. Stephens while I think at times he looks good he switches off with startling regularity as with 2nd yesterday.
  18. Well I had a Leicester defender in my fantasy team but still don’t like the new handball interpretation.
  19. Drop ings to the bench, otherwise yeah.
  20. Not the conditions i'd want to play Burnley but the way we folded in 2nd half was worrying. First goal, awful by vestergaard and surely gunn has to stop that. 2nd typical stephens switching off for a tap in. Glad i played pope in my fantasy team i suppose the sole positive to take out of it.
  21. Might have been a yellow, never a red. Small positive that var didn’t force ref to review. Despite being high there wasn’t sufficient force for it to be dangerous.
  22. I don’t think he’s appalling in the air. Most of his issues are to do with switching off imo.
  23. Premier league looking like it’s going to be utterly atrocious in terms of competiveness like last year. Made even worse by horrid use of var. all the premier league refs will use discretion pr bs out the window immediately.
  24. Maybe if it was a maradona handball, if it’s for encroachment nope won’t ever love it regardless.
  25. My assumption is it is to do with Stephens ability to bring the ball out. Just hope Stephens can maintain his concentration.
