On the plus side, given any kind of service ings looks dangerous. Everything else negative. Gunn atrocious Surely given our defensive issues we should be going back to basics. The second awful ball by Gunn, then bednarek cushioned header to romeu(too cute by half) given where we are. Others times we’ve got away with trying to be too cute. Annoyed me at end with 20 seconds of injury time left in the half we have a free kick and we muck about passing across our back line and are lucky to end up with a throw in Chelsea aren’t even having to do anything special to earn it.

Lovely by Valery and ings
-
Gunn really is useless
-
Annoying biased commentary, not even mentioning long being shoved in the back before the shirt pull
-
Pretty happy with lineup and start.
-
It’s going to be very interesting as to who plays right back on Sunday.
-
Who would you take back and what would you pay for them?

Still annoyed we lost Cork. Would have him back in an instant. Equally Chambers move was too early to arsenal & set back his career trajectory. Seems to be playing better for Arsenal this season. -
Boris has pulled the release trigger on his derisory plan as a pretense to claim he actually tried to negotiate a deal. Intrigued to see what 's going to happen when he's faced with having to obey the Benn act. Hopefully parliament expediate it based on continued attempts by govt figures to claim they'll get round it.

Bet they wish they could play saints again this weekend as an easy bounce back.

Membership will end if not article 50 isn't extended requiring hard borders with EU. It's the Good Friday agreement that requires an open border in Ireland. The backstop was the UK's solution to that conundrum of a treaty/peace requiring an open border, the EU's goal (integrity of single market) and the uk's goal (integrity of uk market). The EU is well within its rights to make the treaty a prerequisite for a future trade deal, transition period etc. The reality is the only solutions are border in Irish Sea or alignment between EU/UK(backstop).
-
A finite end and/or a unilateral withdrawal makes the backstop worthless. Can't see why the EU would ever agree to selling one of their members down the river in such a way or destroy the integrity of the single market.

Pretty much the team from the Pompey game but Redmond in for me Mccarthy Cedric Bedanrek Yoshida Bertrand JWP Romeu Hojberg Redmond Ings Adams subs Gunn, Valery Vestergaard, Slattery, Obafemi, Boufal, Armstrong
-
Yeah I don’t get the focus on vestergaard for that goal when it’s bednarek who sees Kane, leaves him unmarked and then as he shoots twists sideways to make himself as small as possible
-
Nice to see at least one of them is unhappy with that garbage.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester

I thought he played better than Bednarek who was poor today. -
Hasenhuttl ...can we criticise him yet...

At least there’s no chance of him being poached currently -

It’s amazing how he can get so caught up in tactical tweaks to shape before the kick off but then sit on his hands for 79 minutes while we lose to 10 men. -
Other than 2 set pieces what chances? Given we had 75% of the ball in the 2nd half i'd say tottenham carved out better chances than us. pretty passing, followed by some more overpassing mixed in with bottling responsibility in attacking areas and finally mostly poor delivery when we finally ran out of ideas and crossed.
-
To be fair to Ings the midfield just want to pass the ball sideways and backwards. He got a goal by his own initiative and almost got on the end of the one good delivery he received.

Today felt a day where Ralph's favourites didn't play well but he wouldn't substitute them so instead he did nothing for far too long. -
Embarrassing display given they had 10 men. Ralph happy that saints had possession even though barring 2 set pieces we were doing little other than going sideways. Why did he wait so long to try and make changes. Why were certain players exempt from being subbed. Why did no one in the team try and take responsibility. Thought yoshida played well, as did Romeu, as did ings(on atrocious service). Boufal was the best of the rest. All the optimism draining out of the season. We’ve scrambled 2 fluke twins and beaten an atrocious league one side.
-
Disgusting management by Ralph. Certain players are completely untouchable in his world regardless of performance.
-
So kind of saints to take payment to refuse to shoot. Let’s play pretty football without caring about caring about trying to equalize.
-
Ralph clearly forgotten you are allowed to make subs

At 1-1 i literally thought i bet we do a (villa vs arsenal last week) and hand them the game. All the pressure on them and we get caught by a punt. Even then we had enough players back if Bedanrek had of just concentrated on marking kane or at the very least not turned sideways to make himself as small as possible to help kane score. Shame as we've played some good stuff. Still a lack of end product. Pleased for Ings showed real striker instincts. Loved Bertrand's awareness to make the most of the contact given it was Aurier. We've had a big problem in the space between JWP and Bednarek where Son has been having a field day. Lloris error taking focus off Gunn who was poor for the first.
