Good to see an unchanged team. Shame Bertrand isn’t fit enough for bench at least yet.
-
Can’t stand city, so happy to see them lose.
-
Which of the youngsters do you/don't you rate?

Younger ones time will tell. Of the older ones.. Hesketh I like the look of a lot. If he doesn’t get a look into between now and end of season it may be time for him to get the right move elsewhere. Gallagher has got all the attributes. Hoping he gets chances between now and end of season to see if he can make the most of those abilities. Should have been given chances before now especially last season (but for the idiot pellegrino) Reed. A bit of a yo yoing in my opinion of him at times. Done very well on loan twice though and probably deserves a shot in first team squad next season to prove himself. Sims i’ve Never been too sure on other than he has pace. Last chance saloon. Mcqueen, thought he might develop into a bridge at left back but seems to have regressed. Recuperate and move on. -
Because bertrand has been unlucky enough to pick up an injury this season does not mean he's going to spend the rest of his season/career injured.
-
8/9 point is what i'm hoping for.
-
Bertrand history hardly points to someone injured more often or not. Shifting players out is to give Ralph the sized squad he wants and help summer restructure.
-
Happy with Valery as first choice which he’s been since Ralph took over. I’d prefer we bring in another right back target this window but if we have to wait to the summer to get the right person that’s ok.
-
How are we weakening the team. We haven’t sold anyone of the first xi. Cedric has Only played as fill in 3rd choice left back under Ralph. Even if we shift Austin & bring no one in we have 20/21 players & u21 on top of that.
-
There's still time for someone to hopefully give us some of our money back for him before the window closes.
-
I share some concern over Cedric cover. However Ralph has included Ramsay in most of his squads so he clearly likes him & in the end if he feels he doesn’t need or can’t get who he wants in Jan i’ll Trust his judgement.
-
Yeah rose is about 5 choice keeper Barnes and Seager 5th and 6th choice strikers. I like hesketh. Did well on loan, looked bright for us before multiple manager changes and injury meant he hasn’t had a look in. Even then he’s perhaps battling with sims to be somewhere between 4th and 6th choice out wide
-
Is the new definition of injury prone, has had an injury during his time at saints? That’s the only reason longcould be on any such list.
-
That list ignores anyone u23 doesn’t it which is a bit silly when asking that question when a number of them have been involved by Ralph.
-
Personally i’d Rate him as one of our least best striker on the grounds he’s the least well equipped to play how Ralph wants our single striker to play. No doubt he’s on a significant wedge, get rid.
-
We play 1 upfront. 5 players seems adequate depth even if some are young to get us through to the summer.
-
What would the private pilots motivation be if he wasn't being renumerated beyond expenses. Or is a coach and horses being driven through the system via cash payment.
-
Content to trust ralph’s Judgement.
-
Seems reasonable amount for our unwanted right back.
-
Haven’t they just signed a Brazilian keeper.
-
Centre back not an area of immense concern unless we get an injury. Equally i’m Not overly concerned short term about upfront with ings/long/gallagher/obafemi Attacking mid is the one area where if could the right player at a reasonable fee it could be good this Jan. Equally though I wouldn’t have a particular issue if Ralph decides to trust sims/hesketh as cover. If Cedric leaves we’d definitely need a right back too. Summer is when you’d hope we’d be focusing transfer wise.

Wes Hoedt - Loaned to Antwerp: Official
Baird of the land replied to Cabbage_Face's topic in The Saints
Great news he’s gone. -
Yeah some level of inconsistency immediately came to my mind. Gets booked, lunges into a challenge a couple of minutes later and catches our player. One week Valery gets a 2nd booking, this week Gueye avoids even a talking to.

Yan Valery - Official: Signs for Angers

Definitely prefer Valery over Cedric. -
Can't understand the injury time. How you can add an additional 4 minutes when 3 and half of the original 4 were played before long went down. Lovely goal by JWP. Think he was slightly at fault for their goal. Not sure why he did the poor headed clearance rather than volleying it out. Overall a very good display apart the panicky last few minutes.
