At 1-1 i literally thought i bet we do a (villa vs arsenal last week) and hand them the game. All the pressure on them and we get caught by a punt. Even then we had enough players back if Bedanrek had of just concentrated on marking kane or at the very least not turned sideways to make himself as small as possible to help kane score. Shame as we've played some good stuff. Still a lack of end product. Pleased for Ings showed real striker instincts. Loved Bertrand's awareness to make the most of the contact given it was Aurier. We've had a big problem in the space between JWP and Bednarek where Son has been having a field day. Lloris error taking focus off Gunn who was poor for the first.

Playing 5 at the back and bednarek doesn’t have the common sense to stay with Kane, their world class striker.

Gunn is a keeper made of paper. Shame McCarthy is injured as while flawed he would save a shot hit straight at him.

My only assumption is that we’ve shifted to a back 5. Can’t say i’m Optimistic about abandoning whatever strategy we’d been working on to accommodate vestergaard rather than play Valery.

I really can't fathom people who think keeping no deal on the table in a negotiating plus. Threatening to do much more damage to your own economy than theirs is hardly going to make them lose sight of the importance of retaining a viable solution to the open Irish border in any potential deal.

I feel JWP has shown he's capable of filling in for the odd game. I'd be worried though if it was anything more than that currently. Slattery has huge potential and between now and Jan i'd hope the club would decide whether he can fill the void or whether they have to go into the transfer market (permanent/or loan) to fill the void left by Lemina's ugly departure.

Would have been nice if Pompey had of been start of a deep run in the cup especially after drab league start. Away to man city(even man city 2nd string) is going to be very hard to win.

Had to ride expected tricky start, excellent covering by bedbarek to stop a certain goal on the line. Ings then some fantastic finishing took the game from them. Must start especially given how badly Adams is struggling. Liked the balanced defense, yoshi one misplaced pass apart was so good. In the right place so many times that their filth had to resort to a criminally late elbow. Having a left back, yeah and he’s very good too.

Loved the moment early when Pompey fans threw the ball away and Cedric just ignored them as if to say it’s your own time you are wasting. Ings excellent. Needs to be given more starts. Lovely to see a proper back 4 too.

Awful fullback Looked poor at Centre back but to be fair hav8ng all your confidence drained out of position immediately upon joining is hardly a fair barometer. Certainly shouldn’t be starting upcoming games.
