2nd game in a row where I just looked at the starting 11 and winced.

Agree i’d I’d much prefer to see Sam given an hour than another longathon. Still amazed long got given that goal schmeichel put into his own net.

First time Ralph has got it truly wrong. Starting formation didn’t suit opposition we were playing and he took too long to change it. Thought we had scrambled what would have been a fair point Only to concede a goalmouth scramble.

It’ll probably be Austin but I’d prefer gallagher. Ralph has hardly been shy of giving players starts.

Any clue what’s happened to Gallagher. Couldn’t see him in training pics either.

Sounds like Saints just wanted him off the wage bill. Hope he can sort himself out a good permanent move in the summer.

After a rope first minute foul I thought he settled down and grew into the game. Good to know we’ve got someone who can step up and look assured when we have a couple of injuries.

Seems crazy to have risked him again if he felt something beforehand.

I definitely like seeing us developing our own players. There’s a balance with buying a core group of quality players. Our current league position is due to poor past management and some terrible purchasing. The youngsters Ralph has played haven’t let him down at all. Very pleased to see slattery slotting in & having a pretty solid first league start. I like Stephens and thought he had a good game. He was being fouled by crouch and instinctively raised his hand. You do wonder if not for the McCarthy incident whether the ref might have given the foul. He’ll probably drop back to the bench with yoshi back and that’s fine.

Slattery certainly looked good today.

Yeah how dare our manager play our talented academy players!

Hopefully pre season fitness work next season will help us not lose energy late on.

To be fair McCarthy was wasting time every goal kick.

If ings is out i’ll Be interested in seeing who plays up front. It’ll probably be long but I thought he wasn’t great today. Personally i’d Like to see gallagher given a start but given Austin made the bench ahead of him today that’s unlikely. Hopefully hojberg and Bertrand are fit to play some part.

Annoying last minute penalty. Think Stephens is being fouled which is why he has his hand up. However they should of had a penalty in first half. Didn’t understand why long didn’t want to run the ball into the corner a minute earlier though. Slattery was good I thought. Redmond excellent against. Defense was largely good. Armstrong had one of those games where he was trying too hard to impress.

Played very well for first 20 and ings should have scored when put straight through. Got lucky on penalty. Barnes is theatrical but McCarthy doesn’t get ball and his leg would have tripped Barnes. Ings injury may be more than a knock, he was ignoring the clapping during his lap of the touch line which maybe suggests deflation/worry on his part. Still think we’ve got other options in that position if need be. Jwp has done fine at wingback. Slatery has looked bright apart from his early (was it a slip) or a foul on their defender.

Disappointed to see Austin has made the bench ahead of gallagher.

Anyone of them apart from Austin as they can all play the role Ralph wants.

Disappointed we weren’t able to sell Austin. Reasonably Happy with other departures. Upfront we are fine. have to trust Ralph that he’s happy with others to cover for Valery at right back. Think focusing on summer is right move.

Don’t see why we’d loan out gallagher.

Not blame, common sense. Guy who is no longer first gets a chance to go to inter and be first choice. Of course he wouldn’t be full of joys of spring if told to hang about reserves. Apparently Liverpool are crazy loaning out their only fit specialist right back while relying on an injured 20 year old and midfielders like Henderson playing out of position

Clearly Ralph think having a youngster or the likes of jwp covering valery is preferable to having Cedric sulking out the place.

Because clubs don’t want to release their starters mid season.

We have learned from our mistakes, we aren’t throwing money at garbage like Carrillo this year.
