I don't know. Feel they think they can keep extracting value and endless line of academy players supplemented by the odd purchase will fill the gap.
I hope my gut is wrong and she wants to sell up.
I still struggle to see him leaving whilst injured( i still think he'll likely be out till close to new year). Most likely we'll have to rehabilitate him, get him fit, get him match fit and then he'll be flogged in summer.
Also given the dominance of TV money a protest will be of little relevance unless it contributes to relegation.
I'm hoping someone will come in and give them a good offer for a club that'll make them happy to leave with a lump sum over milking saints dry every summer.
Yeah current squad minus expected next batch of departures is a massive relegation scrap squad, which is hardly surprising when you rip the majority of the first xi away.
Indeed especially since there is zero financial need and a million other reasons not to. Simple greed or weakness behind it, don't know which is worse.
No i don't trust them. No board with any sort of ambition would sell 7+ first team starters. They clearly just won't to pocket as much cash as they can and hope to avoid relegation in order to repeat the process next summer.
I still don't think its un feasible with a decent board/owner. Pity we don't have that anymore.
Sure they would buy saints as their feeder club if they were allowed.
Agree, the idea some have that if there's the slightest sniff of interest clubs sell instantly is nonsense. That's what's so terrifying about saints currently. Embarrassing actions by a prem club, acting like a league 1 club.
