Players are going to back themselves. Barring a serious injury he’s likely to get at worst a similar 1 year deal based on this season’s performances.

It’s completely imprudent. If we got promoted we’d have a tonne of money to improve the team and Stewart has shown ability to produce at that level(when he’s been fit). Not extending him means we’ve now down a key player when our finances are very constrained.
