Some shocking footage wasn't it - I think both countries should have had to prove they are worthy of hosting a major tournament and having fans/police/stewards acting in that way shows they don't deserve that reward. FIFA/UEFA's response was that being allowed to host the tournament will help to reduce this sort of behaviour in the future in both countries - isn't that like saying give a naughty kid whatever they want in the hope they will learn to appreciate it/be positively influenced? Wrong way of doing things.

It seems to be luck of the draw depending on who you get at the ticket office - my brother and I couldn't get 3 tickets for Coventry (we only had 2 stubs so rightly so but thought it was worth a shot!) whereas a friend who hadn't been to either Ipswich or Barnsley walked away with 3 tickets as the person they went to didn't care that they had no stubs with them. It really is hit or miss down there depending on who you see/speak to.

The FL need to grow a backbone. As a teacher, if I allow one kid to get away with something/don't enforce the rules for one then others notice and begin to push their luck/see what they can get away with. They realise the person in charge is not strong enough and soon several are bending the rules as they know they can. This is what is happening with football clubs as they know the FL are this weak teacher-type authority. I learnt this early on during a placement and it's about time the FL learnt that making an example of one wrong-doing club will frighten the others into complying with the rules rather than bending them as they know they can.
