I really don't know where i'd put my money on for the result though. My heart wants to say UKIP, but the constant smearing will surely have had a negative effect, in particular for young/women voters who perhaps more so then others don't want to feel they're voting for 'a nasty party', despite the fact that on the issues of local or European governance they'd probably be on UKIP's side, as with controlled immigration or no controls etc. I can't see the Tories winning. Just think they've disenfranchised too many of their core vote to turn it around. A lot of my family have blue blood running through them but are turning to UKIP for the Euros. So that leaves Labour. Surely it would have to be a miracle for them to win a European election with a campaign which has opted to sweep the main issue under the carpet. I suppose Ed has mumbled about giving a referendum in the 'future' if more powers are given away. Which is ridiculous as the whole reason for electing MEP's is they vote on issues put forward by the commission, which largely involve 'giving more powers away'. They've been more than comical on immigration, pulling out the classic 'we need to have an open and honest debate' as about their best soundbite campaign line on that issue. At least the Lib Dem's have been honest about where they stand- problem for them is it's pretty clear the majority of Brits don't want even more integration and continued open borders, i'd be tempted to wage a bet the Greens push them into a humiliating 5th place, that would be very funny.

Labour have an ex Nazi in Milton Keynes, as well as plenty of BNP, the Tory's have ex BNP standing as councilors, A Lib Dem councillor last month was charged with racially aggravated assault, Labour have an awful track record with child offences etc etc. You really have been brainwashed by the media. It would not surprise me one bit if Tory HQ, and maybe the other parties, are feeding the likes of The Guardian these stories (not this one you posted, couldn't even be counted as a story). Win win, the Guardian doesn't have to bother researching/digging up stories, and the other parties get a nice steady flow of UKIP bashing leading up to the election. I suppose a simpler explanation is if you look at a paper like the Times for example, the profiles of their journalists behind a lot of the stories are friends, ex advisers and so on of the Osborne/Cameron clique. Last week a youth UKIP member left the party, clearly to up her profile, no official role or importance in the party, yet the Guardian thought it was justifiable to have it on the front page. It's really become hysterical.

I go to the vacluse region of Proevence every year. Near the Mt Ventoux mountain there's a lot of beautiful countryside which isn't too touristy like some areas. Sounds like a pretty solid plan. There's a nice place on the coast called Cassis, which is good for families. St Tropez is definitely worth a day/ night just to see the place. The huge boats, amazing women and just in general the harbor has such a buzz about it. Also worth mentioning France can be really horrifically expensive if you're not careful.

I'm voting UKIP. I want to see an independent Britain which is governed at a national and local level, not a huge superstate of un elected commissioners so far detached from reality, hell bent on this mad project. I strongly believe in a fair controlled immigration policy that doesn't discriminate my family in NZ over a Bulgarian, and protects us from unsustainable population growth. I'm also attracted to UKIP on other issues like a rejection of HS2, building on greenfield sites, no wind farms, and a general long term vision of a smaller state. Distaste for things like inheritance tax etc. LibLabCon sowed this field themselves, and i'm really hoping i'll be able to see their faces after a UKIP win on Thursday. I'd also love to see the media have to east humble pie. But it's no doubt going to be very close, and i'm sure UKIP will have lost a lot of potential votes through the constant negative headlines over the last couple of weeks.
-
They're just stating the fact, which is UKIP have the only immigration policy which does not discriminate on race? It's like your saying UKIP shouldn't be able to defend itself from accusations of being a racist party.

Oh dear, you have to wear a replica shirt to care about the football? That's what I like about Utd's away support, not a foam finger in site. We were completely drowned out in the Itchen North through the second half.
-
Exactly. The funniest one Labour/Lib Dems often suggest is that Spain, currently in a huge Oversupply of houses, is going to start sending Brits home!
-
You can do that yourself though, why do you need the government to take from you and decide which charitable project to spend it on? I'd rather choose myself, we're one of the most charitable nations in the world- something to certainly be proud of. That said I wouldn't support cutting the aid budget all together.

Top 2 destinations for British expats are Australia and the US, what about them? Not having an open border policy doesn't mean pulling up the drawbridge. People can still move around, it's just managed.

What complete sh*t. This is something that really f*cks me off about the left- they think they're in some way morally superior. It's called political opinion, i don't think of myself a better human being for taking a different view on things to someone else. There's nothing 'nasty' about believing we should govern our own country democratically, control and manage the boarders of our small island, and support a smaller state. Typical though, just a load of emotive words with absolutely no substance or truth behind it.

Flat tax isn't current UKIP policy. What do you mean only ever been a trader? He's had a career outside of politics and run his own business that's what counts, not what he was born into and where his parents sent him to school, no one has control over that. The point is a large chunk of the political establishment have never done a real job outside of politics in their life. But UKIP have MEPs/Councillors and people who campaign up and down the country other than Farage. Also there's no such thing as expenses in the EU parliament, all MEP's get given the same allowance. They're not gullible, just a lot are starting to realise that LibLabCon have shat on us and lied consistently. Pushing through the Lisbon Treaty undemocratically and opening up our borders to the biggest migration wave the country had seen in centuries without ever consulting the public. UKIP stands for local and national government which resonates with normal people. Not wanting to be run by a huge centralised superstate and an unelected commission made up of people like Kathy Ashton. Who got her position as a reward for pushing the Lisbon Treaty through the Lords. And she only got into the Lords through being a wife of a great adviser/friend of Blair. It's not hard to see why normal people don't want this? It's an undemocratic system made up of an elite who are driven to look after themselves and their fanatical EU project. It's not hard to see UKIP are winning support of people over other common sense policies, take rejecting HS2 for example.

Farage is by no means an angel, but the point is the bloke has had a real job working as a stockbroker, running his own business etc. Clegg and Milliband have literally done nothing outside of the political game. At least Cameron had a small stint in PR. He packed it in to fight for something he was passionate about- not as a 'career move'. He works ridiculously hard, has traveled up and down the country for years speaking in un glamorous town halls and the like, talking to ordinary people and re engaging a vast amount of the public back into politics.

I actually agree with you there. The other points are enough without having to try and add in that cheap shot. Can't help what you were born into, nothing to be ashamed off or ridiculed.
-
Tell me why then, when a Labour councilor is an ex Nazi, for example, it barely even scratches the surface, but when a UKIP council candidate makes a bigoted comment it is front page news and is made to seem representative of the whole party? If you don't think something is wrong there, we'll have to agree to disagree.
-
It certainly is, and you could well call it a conspiracy. Here is an article if you're interested profiling all the Times journalists who have been smearing UKIP. http://www.ukip.org/who_are_the_times_journalists_trying_so_desperately_to_undermine_ukip#

Flat tax is currently not UKIP policy. I'd admit that in the past UKIP has been guilty of saying they'll do this, do that, when reality is if they actually had power it would not all add up. That's changing now though, and UKIP's economic spokesmen Steven Woolfe is very switched on from what I've seen. With regards to tax he's stated the party has two areas it wants to focus on in particular: a) Raise the 40p tax threshold. Too many people are now classed as high earners who really aren't, especially if they've got kids, have seen increases in other bills, cost of getting to work etc. 41,000-150,000 is such a big range. b) Take the minimum wage out of tax. UKIP have pushed for this long before the Lib Dems adopted it. On immigration. It's clear UKIP have the least racist policy, a lot of people really struggle to understand this. The party wants a policy that treats everyone, wherever you are from around the globe, whatever race, as equal. If you're an Indian brain surgeon you currently stand a far lesser chance of being allowed into Britain then a unemployed Bulgarian with no qualifications. Wether you're from New Zealand, Asia, India, Bulgaria, UKIP proposes a points based system which is done on what the county needs and what the given person can bring. How on earth can anyone disagree with that? I've just got back from New Zealand, and it makes no sense to me, and f*cks me off, that we'd discriminate against them and other countries arguably Britain has a much bigger 'bond' with.

So what, he's just a donor UKIP took money from, not a candidate or anything? Not all parties are bank rolled by the trade unions. I knew the media would go after UKIP but i never thought it would be on this scale, it's become hysterical. The scrutiny wouldn't matter if it was an equal playing field, but it clearly isn't. Just last month a Lib Dem was charged for racially aggravated assault, there's a Labour councilor who was an ex Nazi etc, none of it gets reported. Another example was on my Facebook a couple of people had shared an article outraged about what some obscure UKIP council candidate had said, i looked at the article, and saw it was from 2 years ago for f*cks sake. Truth is large proportions of Labour voters are starting to realise Labour shat on them from a great height and I really hope come election day the chickens will come home to roost and UKIP come first. UKIP have been eating into the Labour vote for some time now whilst also winning over people who previously weren't voting, you only have to look at the last few by elections up north where UKIP made big gains and has consistently come second.

Hi Griffo. Which part of that dyou not agree with though?

This is the when there really should be a boycott. Only then will they start to get the message. Although its better than nothing I suppose, those at the top aren't going to care about pretty banners if people are still parting with this obscene amount of money to stand on some concrete and watch football for 90 minutes.
-
You really are a f*cking knob. I can't tell if you're always just on the wind up or actually believe what you post. Pathetic levels of debate? What questioning wether having an open door immigration policy is sensible when a million young Brits are out of work, we've got a housing crisis, and our services are at breaking point?

Thing with Oasis' lyrics is a lot of the lines make no sense whatsoever but so many oasis songs just have that one line or two which make it. Some might say being a classic example. On DM there's not one song I don't like. Even Digsy's Dinner is a great one to blast out. Supersonic would be one of my least favourites.

The fact the club never tells us the amount of tickets we've got also makes it impossible to plan ahead for games and guess if you'll be able to get tickets, unless you're at the top that is.
-
League position isn't everything, for match going fans that is.
-
How hard can it be for some of you to understand? The club was DONATED 200k because of falling away attendances and perhaps pressure from things like the football supporters federation- in order to help their own fans with the cost of away games. Instead the club has used it to try and save money on refurbishment (on the sly). Unfortunately it's been clear for some time NC and his minions at the top don't give two ****s about fans. Just take the Sunderland fiasco, the club had no interest whatsoever in helping fans get compensation after being royally shafted- granted it wasn't their mistake but still they could have tried to help. The ****ing fun fair, how pathetic. What has a Ferris wheel got to do with football? They could have spent that money on helping kids who's parents won't take/pay for their tickets, who the club are pricing out of going. Fair play to Chelsea, putting on a train is no doubt a lot of effort. But I reckon what Utd etc have done is best, the more games you attend the more you're rewarded, I.e genuinely loyal regular fans. can't believe some on here lap it up and say 'don't get your knickers in a twist', it's disgraceful the club have acted like this and is the latest of a long line of disregard for fans.
