What is one then? With his stats surely he is a tough tackling midfielder?! Or would you rather a Vinnie Jones type player instead? With Ramirez we all know he is not the finished article yet which has probably been hindered by him adjusting to the PL, as well as his injuries. His performance against Villa at home has been one of the best player performances of the season. Sure we can all agree he his world class potential which we have seen at times. Look at Fellaini, he was a big money signing who was fairly average in his first season, look at him now. An example of how it can take a player time to settle, adjust etc. Provide we are in the PL he will be an important player for us. Can't see Cortese selling his star signing.

Nice post. I was thinking if the academy too. The current u18's certainly sound on par with the Walcott Bale generation. Either way whatever our ambition I prefer going about it our way as opposed to QPR. Whatever the argument everyone must agree that it is pretty exciting being a Saints fan at the moment.
