Can't remember seeing a Saints team with such high levels of fitness during a game. They were running full pelt right to the final whistle, every player. We blew the champions of England away with our fitness. So impressive. Never seen Lambert play at that rate for 90 mins. Am I right in thinking I heard the Sherriff has really increased the training regime? How MP has impressed since coming here. Next Newcastle who have two legs of the UEFA cup before we play them. Under a new manager he has had one immense half where he was the best player on the pitch and two rubbish halves. The lad has bags of potential which we have seen in glimpses. Small Adkins story, remember when he was under a lot of pressure after the West Brom game and they stayed at the Four Seasons hotel. Well being drunk and knowing that hotel I thought bugger it I'm gonna ring reception and ask to speak with Adkins for the pure purpose of stating that I back him and the fans do and thanking him for what he has already achieved for us. Anyway believe it or not the receptionist with no questions asked put me straight through. And man answered the call almost immediately. I was able to say what I wanted and he simply asked for my name and said "Matt, that's top draw". It made my night. A true legend, gentleman and a top manager with bright things ahead sadly not with us.

He will forever been a legend at this club. Best two and a half seasons as a Saints fan which I'll never ever forget. Good luck Nigel, you could not have done a better job and you will go onto to better things for sure.

If its a blatant dive with no contact then that is wrong. If its one where he has felt some contact but dramatically gone down then that is not as bad. Either way it won us the game so I couldn't care less.
