  1. Good lord man. I believe we are more likely to challenge for a trophy in the next few years as opposed to meeting the european ambition of the chairman, an ambition of which I do not believe my example of Wigan has, prove me otherwise, it is virtually a precedent that every team in a cup has some form of ambition to win it but not every club has ambitions of getting into Europe. Who cares anyway. Staying up this season is vital. Can't be arsed to argue on this anymore as its boring and pointless. Perhaps you should try contributing to a thread rather than trying to rubbish everyone else.
  2. When did Wigan win the FA cup?
  3. Yes well done I don't believe I disputed that. You can add the 4 pointless posts proving whatever point you had to your 18,000. You'll have more posts that Wigan have in attendance soon. Well done.
  4. I think we have more realistic chance of pushing for a trophy over the next few years rather than Europe. That said its more exciting to be ambitious than to not be (eg. Wigan). Can't fault Cortese in the slightest for achieving his ambitions to date and not via the unsustainable QPR method If you re-read my post you'll see your mistake, I said that realistically we have more chance of winning a trophy BUT it is exciting to have ambitions of pushing Europe etc. Anyway if we win a trophy we would be in Europe anyway so the argument is pointless really.
  5. Well I for one hope that our time in the PL provides more ambition than hoping to survive relegation each year eg. Wigan. Wigan are in a semi final too they haven't won feck all yet and could still get relegated.
  6. I am suggesting that these teams haven't shown more ambition than us recently hence their league status. Jesus, sound like the house of lords debating the wording of a new bill. Back to Saints, I think are ambitions are healthy for the club eg. stadium increase, youth development and pushing for Europe at some stage which teams like Wigan don't seem to have. Not rubbishing their chance of reaching a final.
  7. Good luck to Nigel though. Really could see him getting them promoted next year.
  8. It's gonna be an interesting game. Still fancy a result. Afterall they are 19th for a reason and player for player I don't think a single one of theirs would get in our starting 11.
  9. Clearly they haven't shown more ambition hence Swansea are the only PL team from that group.
  10. Okay so Wigan are massively ambitious then. The DW should be increased to 70,000 to accomodate this level of ambition.

  12. Would be a great signing. Defintely short of a winger and one with pace.
  13. No one more than Pompey. Then maybe QPR, tiny club of deluded fans and doing everything that's wrong in football. ManUre are just repulsive too, full of fans that have never been to OT.
  14. Fabio is not a spec on Luke Shaw. However those dumbs mancs can keep that attitude for all I care. Genuinely don't think we'll sell any player we don't want to this Summer.
  15. Chelsea - the ruiners of English talent. They can feck off. Disgusting club.
  16. His goal scoring record is rubbish really.
  17. Probably something said about him being catholic. Shame because we would be safe if he continued in goal.
  18. According to the Sun by the way.
  19. Again with Liverpool and Spurs also interested. Can we beat them again?! Any Spanish football boffins know much about him? See he has 2 Spain caps so can't be bad.
  20. He was brilliant in his prime. His legs have gone a bit now and the injuries he had obviously ain't helped hence he has adapted the way he plays. He plays deeper now and uses his great passing to influence the game, hence he doesn't greb the headlines for winning games like he used to. I would rather have Lampard in my team than Gerrard.
  21. I think our success in the lower leagues can take a lot of credit for that. As well as various football league grounds many had not been to. Orient away always stands out for me. Totally took over their ground.
  22. Pretty decent in this current climate of expensive tickets, tv games and streams etc. What is our average away attendance and what was it in 03/04? Would be interesting to note.
  23. March 30 Chelsea WIN April 6: Reading DRAW April 13: West Ham WIN April 20: Swansea LOSE April 27: West Brom DRAW May 4: Tottenham LOSE May 12: Sunderland WIN May 19: Stoke DRAW 12 points seeing us to a nice stress free 15th finish with Villa going down on GD instead of Sunderland. Wigan to pull it off once more.
  24. Stupid international breaks, anyway, same line up with Davis coming on for Ramirez second half. Need to keep Mata out of the game. Clyne will keep Hazard in his pocket. Fancy another 3 - 1 win. COYR!
  25. With Sunderland I think he has been relatively rubbish. They are such a dreadfully boring team to watch. So glad we don't play like them.
